Welcome! I am a retired professional & Concord native. In addition this room I offer 'Spacious Room for One or Two' plus there is a common room with table and chairs, microwave, Keurig coffee, fridge and water dispenser.. 3 rules: please check in by 10 pm, no weapons and nonsmokers only. If you smoke do not book please! After check in you can come and go as you please via guest entrance. I can usually accommodate an early check in if needed. Please no 3rd party bookings.
A private entrance and hallway lead to the second floor where you have the a sweet room facing the east with a large spacious closet to yourself. A comfortable twin bed awaits you. There is a shared bathroom and common room with a table and chairs, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, fridge and a hot or cold water dispenser for your connivence. Morning walkers rejoice as there are plenty of sidewalks around plus hikes nearby. In warm weather my large backyard has chairs and places to sit or wander. My home is close to several ski resorts and the mountains are but 2 hours away. Concord is central to NH and a great place to stay when you want mountains, beach and comfort all in one day.
You will be staying in a safe area with lots of places to walk and local hiking trails nearby. I live on one of the largest lots in my neighborhood. There is ample safe parking and wildlife visit frequently. A laundromat and dry cleaners are nearby plus plenty of good eateries.
  • I stayed by Mary during my recent vacation in New England, and I felt that though I was paying for just a room, I was getting benefits of an entire apartment.. private entrance, semi-private bathroom/living area, with the added plus of Mary's advice for local sights (with helpful printed info on local happenings). Add to that an unusually friendly cat and a bed as comfortable (or more so) than mine at home, and it was overall a quite pleasant experience.

    Sarah2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Love staying at Mary’s place! Highly recommend it if you are in the area

    Jacqueline2018-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is amazing, her place is pretty comfortable, warm and safe. It was a very pleasant stay! ❤️

    Joanna2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My 1st AirBnB experience and i was greeted by a very nice and sweet host. Mary made me feel like i am visiting a relative and made sure i am comfortable for 4 days. I also loved the privacy, which for me was a huge factor. Thanks so much, Mary, for the hospitality, nice talks, clean rooms, guest's own eating room and of course, the privacy!

    Gerry2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is really kind and hospitable. Her place is basic, but clean, and has all the basic necessities you need to have. Well worth the basic price for the frugal traveler. The common room was a nice place to make your coffee/tea in the morning/evening. As a female traveling solo, I felt very safe here, and went for an hour walk in the neighborhood in the morning, there were trails close by that were off the road which was great. I would not hesitate to stay again.

    Tom2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here a few times. If you want quiet her house is the place. I go to bed early and wake at 3am. I was able to sleep fine.

    Derrick2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • I was very disappointed in MARY. I stayed at Mary’s before and she was very hospitable and nice. I booked her place again and I told MARY that I would be on the road and there around 10-11 due to driving from far away. The roads were not great and I texted MARY and gave her my ETA of approx 12AM and as soon as I arrive MARY looks grumpy and says I’ll never host you again. I was in the shower at approx 10:25AM and MARY is sending me messages and yelling at me that checkout is at 11AM. Any person with a brain can see that a person is showering and getting ready. I had to tell her to relax and I’ll be out very soon. If someone is hosting people she should have much better people skills and not take her bad mood out on her CLIENTS. I’m paying her to use her room. Anyways was not comfortable and was very regretful of staying there and will never stay there again.

You will be staying in 1884 New Englander wth plenty of places to walk and hike nearby. Your room is comfortable, spacious and restful. It's the sort of place that will renew you after a day out playing or a day at a conference. Many guests have stayed here while looking for permanent housing in the area or as a place to live while in Concord for a week or more. Concord is central to NH and a great place to stay when you want mountains, beach and comfort all in one day.
I live at the intersection of North State Street, Fisherville Road and Sewall Falls Road. This neighborhood was created in the 1880's and has many single family houses. There are sidewalks for walking and gardens to explore plus many good eateries close by. And you just might see deer eating grass in my backyard.
  • Five star everything :) . she is a very friendly person and enjoyed chating with her .

  • Mary was very welcoming and had taken care of all the details, she was accommodating! She gave us a great suggestion for breakfast. Tucker's was amazing food. Everything was very clean. A nice place to hang you head.

    Sally2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is a wonderful host. Her house is immaculate and the bed was super comfortable. She had a rain forest shower and provided a separate room for us to have coffee and snacks in the morning. I would recommend her house to anyone traveling through that part of the world and I would definitely stay there again.

Deb really cares about her guests and makes everything so convenient- from check-in/out to all the great amenities she includes. She also has plenty of recommendations for fun local activities!

  • Debra's place is the perfect apartment for a getaway in New Hampshire. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend of skiing at Gunstock Mountain and couldn't have asked for a better stay. The apartment is 20 minutes from the mountain and is situated in a very nice neighborhood. It has everything you will need for your stay, is completely private and Debra was so nice and communicative throughout our stay. If you're looking for a stay in the area for skiing or even a summer getaway, look no further.

Breathtaking views of Snow Pond, enjoy the private waterfront a few steps from the house. Guests say it's very special place. Clean quiet, private room with bathroom adjacent close to I-93 and downtown Concord NH. Serene country home with a lot of art to enjoy. We have kayaks and a paddleboat. Lots of hiking trails nearby. It's the ideal central location to tour the White Mountains, Boston or the coast. Enjoy leaf season, or get ahead of crowds for skiing.
I live here with my old 15 lb dog Judee. We are friendly. I have lived here for ten years and I am always glad to help guests figure out where to go that is fun. There's a lot to do in Concord and many cool restaurants downtown. Just ask me and I can help you find trails, restaurants, the famers market, and gas, food.
I am two miles from Apple Hill Farm, Canterbury Shaker Village, halfway between Exit 16 and Exit 17. Lots of nearby hiking trails, the closest is across the Pond at Oak Hill. http://concordnh.gov/1033/Hiking-Trails you can download pdf maps here.
  • Folks, this is the place to stay when you have to travel. Shelly is a wonderful caring lady. She is there to help in any way she can. Strongly recommend this place. Wonderful experience.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it was a great one! Shelley is a wonderful host. She is pleasant to be around, pleasant to communicate with and very helpful if you need anything. Her place is very secluded and cozy I felt right at home. The property location is beautiful being on a private pond. If you love nature this is the perfect place for you to go. It was also very convenient being close to the highway and a short drive to downtown Concord. You won't be disappointed with this place.

  • A nice house right on the pond. Check out the sunrise over the pond

    Carol2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely time staying with Shelley at her charming home. The pond is absolutely stunning and there are nice little hikes in walking distance. Shelley was a wonderful host, very friendly, open, chatty... I had a great evening with her and her friend eating, talking and drinking wine. I would definitely come back anytime!

This working cattle farm, located on 36 acres with a panoramic view of the New Hampshire countryside, is adjacent to miles of trails for hiking, skiing or snowshoes. Stay the night and you'll want to stay forever at this magical farm on the hill. We are sorry but the hot tub jets do not work. The apartment has a full private kitchen with a dishwasher for you to prepare your meals. Breakfast is not provided. There is a minimum $30 fee for the first pet and $20 for each additional pet.
Miles Smith Farm was founded in the 1830's by Miles Smith who, with his wife and daughters, are buried in the farm cemetery. Our Scottish Highlander cattle are so tame we ride them. You can too! And we have a special pig, Tazzy, who will entertain you and your family by rolling over to have her belly scratched. Tazzy's roommate is Penny and both will gladly spend time with you in the apartment. A full kitchen with a dishwasher is included. Our Solar Farm Store is located on the farm (next to the barn) for some fantastic grass-fed beef, pastured pork and lamb and many other locally produced items. We don't sell alcohol, so bring your own wine or beer. The downstairs bathroom has a champagne tub and shower, while the upstairs bath is a private bath with shower, off the master bedroom. The apartment is private from the main house. We have miles and miles of trails for snowshoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer. If you want to snowshoe let us know. We'll rent you some gear. We have one TV with a VCR player. We have a selection of children's VCR tapes. A propane grill is available for rent ($10 one time fee). Let us know if you would like to use it while you stay.
We have an on-farm store stocked with only local products including grass-fed beef and pastured pork raised on the farm. It is a true Country Store to complement your Country Inn experience. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is just 2 minutes, and Canterbury Shaker Village is 5 minutes by car.
  • Our stay at Carole and Bruce's farm was beyond our expectations. My children ages 11 and 15 and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed all the animals on the farm. We helped feed baby pigs, rubbed two pet pig's bellies, pet the horses and the gorgeous friendly cattle. We also loved Angus, the pet bunny, and Tazzy, the pet pig hanging out in our apartment. My kids kept getting them to come over. We learned so much and have a new respect for farmers and animals and supporting local farmers and business. The apartment was beautiful and very spacious. We also had one of the best meals ever from beef we got at the farm store plus the best breakfast with their duck eggs. We enjoyed reading the published children's book Carole wrote about one of her calves, Bleu. Carole, Bruce and the store manager Theresa made us feel like family and I cannot wait to go back. If you want to give your children and yourself a never forgettable experience, you must stay at their farm.

  • Carole is a very friendly, helpfull and gentle host! The farm is amazing and the apt is awesome! You have all the comforts that you can desire! You can wake up in the morning and see cows eating when you are comfortably seat on the sofa! Her food market sells delicious local food!!! Highly recommended!!!

    Adriano Gurnee2014-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The farm is idyllic and conveniently located. It was a joy walking around and petting the horses, smashing pumpkins to feed the cows, and having the house pigs come into the apartment. Carole is a wonderful host and the property is very charming. What a great way to spend a holiday, just sitting by the fire and being cozy together.

    Matt2018-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were absolutely blown away. Every detail of our stay was fantastic! Carole was the most friendly and accommodating host i've ever experienced. The property was breathtaking The house was clean and quiet and made us all feel at home. The property is an active working farm, and it was incredible to see some of the stuff going on in the background. They have cows, highlanders, pigs, chickens, horses, and everything you could imagine. They have a farm-store where you can buy fresh meat/eggs/etc and we bought as much as we possibly could have! We're already trying to plan our next trip to Miles Smith Farm! - Jesse

    Jesse2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough good things about Miles Smith Farm! My boyfriend, our two best friends, and I visited Carole's home the first weekend in March, and the farm provided the perfect setting for our late-winter getaway. The apartment offered a great mix of privacy and accessibility to our hosts. On Friday evening we made the quick 1.5 hour drive from Boston and arrived around 9PM to find a blazing fire already going in the wood-burning stove. Carole greeted us and gave us a tour of the apartment before we settled in for the night. The bedrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies, and every room was freshly cleaned. The stand-out was the incredibly cozy downstairs living room where we spent both nights sitting around the fire talking, drinking hot chocolate, and playing board games. The highlight of the weekend was playing with Carole's newly adopted indoor pig Tazzy! Tazzy is the size of a small dog, and loves hanging out with guests (if invited- otherwise she stays on Carole's side of the house). Carole brought Tazzy over on her leash whenever we wanted, and she proved to be a very fun and entertaining addition to our group! We were also welcome to bring Angus the bunny into the apartment whenever we wanted. Both mornings we walked across the driveway to the farm store to stock up on fresh meat and eggs for breakfast (YUM!). Saturday we drove 35 minutes to ski at Gunstock, and on Sunday Carole was kind enough to give us a walking tour of the farm. We got up close and personal with the Highland cows, horses, and pigs. It was a blast, and really wonderful seeing the amount of care and attention given to all of the animals. Carole proved to be a very friendly and gracious host, and we felt very welcome throughout the entire weekend. I would absolutely visit Miles Smith Farm again! PS Not surprisingly, the scenery is gorgeous!

    Joanna2015-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Inn at Miles Smith Farm was amazing beyond words. From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were met by Carole and given a friendly, warm introduction to the apartment and farm. Theresa in the Farm Store was equally lovely, as was her dog, Bree. Whether it was strolling through the farm and meeting the gorgeous highland cattle, enjoying an apartment visit from Tazzy D (pig extraordinaire) or Angus (the world's friendliest bunny), or watching the sunset while feeding Moose, the horse, we couldn't imagine a more beautiful, welcoming, fun place to spend a weekend. The apartment itself is perfect with all the comforts you could hope for. We will definitely be coming back!

    Asa2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and brother-in-law had a great time staying here while attending the NASCAR race.

    Michelle2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • I was looking for something different to do with my 5 year old son for a long weekend and this was the perfect place for that! We loved walking around and looking at the animals and he got to ride a bull and a horse. The weather was too cold to stay out for long so we took advantage of the wood burning stove to read and play games inside. Carole was a wonderful hostess and we loved having Tazzi the pig and Angus the rabbit come to visit us. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Miles Smith Farm at any time of year.

Twenty minutes to Concord, Weirs beach, Lake Winnipesaukee, Bank of NH Pavilion, Gunstock Mountain, skiing and hiking locations, and New Hampshire Motor Speedway is 10 minutes away! Built circa 1777, ours is a house as old as the Country.
We may let guests tour other parts of the house at our discretion.
Gilmanton, New Hampshire is known for their Ironworks, winery, and is centrally located. Just south of the Lakes Region.
  • Private area in the beautiful mountains of NH, the surrounding area had plenty of great food and sights. The house was very clean, easy check-in, and William was quick to communicate with us. We had a great stay and definitely recommend his place.

  • Will and Amanda's house is gorgeous with old flooring and valley sunsets that we enjoyed. The description of the house is understated if anything, it is beautifully located with gorgeous sunrise that can be viewed from the porch. The stay itself was very comfortable, clean and quiet with thoughtful touches everywhere, including the plants inside the house. We really appreciated Will and Amanda's kindness in telling us about their town, the neighbourhood and sites to swim. Thank you.

There's a cute little restaurant nearby and lake Winnipesaukee and Gunstock mountain adventure park are just a short drive away making it a perfect base for exploring what NH has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely recommend this place!

Clear your mind and relax. That's the sort of atmosphere the Ladd house has to offer. Built in the 1700's by Daniel Ladd this grand old house has plenty of charm, open land, gardens and a secluded pond for you to explore. Quite an assortment of song birds frequent the bird feeders for your viewing.
The suite offers a beautifully spacious bedroom with a bright airy atmosphere. The private bathroom is directly situated off the bedroom and also conveniently located to the sitting room. The sitting room has a coffee/tea bar, microwave and refrigerator as well as a TV. There is plenty of room to park your vehicle and a private entrance. Please note there is no wifi.
Loudon is located within an hour of the lakes region, the seacoast and the White Mountains. It is a rural town but just 20 minutes from the city of Concord. There are restaurants and convenience stores 10 minutes away. Lots of unique points of interest are near by...
  • Abby's historic farmhouse is stunningly decorated, well-maintained, and tranquil. The bed was very comfortable and everything was kept immaculately clean. Abby was very accommodating of my late check-in and was quick to answer any questions I had. There is no Wifi in the house, which makes it the perfect place to disconnect. I only wish I could've stayed longer to properly unwind and enjoy the country. TIP: The house is about a 10 min drive out of town. If you're driving at night, be extra careful as there are no streetlights. You'll be greeted by the enthusiastic property manager, Lori and her lovely pup Coco.

  • We loved our stay at Abby's place. Beautiful, historic, and nestled in the countryside, staying there was the ultimate in decompression. The space was fabulous and our bed was extremely comfortable. Abby's onsite hosts - Lori and her poodle Coco - both greatly added to the warm experience. Can't wait to come back.

Cozy private get away. A little bigger than a tiny house, apart from the main farm house and barns on a beautiful hill top setting. This is country living in NH. *Please note that we are 8/10ths of a mile out on a dirt road and the internet can be intermittent at times.
You may see but probably more likely hear various birds, wild turkeys, coyotes, owls and occasionally other wild life. We have lots of space!
  • I highly recommend Abby’s place to stay while traveling! It’s sparkling clean, cozily decorated and the kind of place that makes you feel at home!

  • Charming guest cottage with lots of character. Hidden away in the country ... the last bit of the drive was up a single lane gravel road, which added to the quaintness. We also enjoyed the fresh flowers on the table and the freshly baked cookies. We would highly recommend.

  • If you're even thinking about this stay, I would say 100% without a doubt TAKE THE LEAP AND DO IT! I was on the fence as well but it really was the most amazing reset to just be able to have the most cozy stay. It was private, clean, and fully stacked from coffee to hot chocolate. My only gripe was getting food at night and the proximity of stores but Abby does a great job of letting you know where to go. Top 5 AirBnB stays for sure!

Spacious one bedroom one sitting room suite with a private entry and full bath. The Ladd house is a well appointed 1783 colonial that sits back from the road and has a private beach accessed by a walk through the field. This is a great place to unwind and relax.
The Louis Lamour room gets it's name from the unique decor and collection of books in the library. The bedroom is spacious and airy. There is plenty of area outside to enjoy.
  • The host was fantastic and made us feel at home. The place was very clean and comfortable.

PLEASE NOTE NEW PRICING: A $25.00 refund per night is offered after the first night stay. Your refund for this offer will be paid by me and not Airbnb after your arrival here. And & I apologize for needing to do this method of pricing but my one nighters are more costly in preparation for the next guests as four or five others may be quickly following you.
Tiny Earth Cabin is situated on a sixty-acre parcel of privately owned land in the small town of Canterbury, NH. In case you have forgotten something the Country Store in Canterbury Center is just a couple minutes away or available en route. Upon your arrival at the owners driveway (1.88 miles from Canterbury center Eastward on Hackleboro Road) your host or one of his staff will greet you and assist in parking and with the transfer of your personal items for your stay. When unloaded at the trailhead there is a five-minute stroll on a groomed path to your unique Eco-designed Cabin. Your host will accompany and assist you in transporting items to the Cabin and provide you with a tour of the cabin's amenities. Should you require access to the Cabin via SUV there is an access road available usually? Being isolated and secure from any onlookers the Tiny Earth Cabin is delightfully off grid and is fully equipped with 12 volt LED lighting and ceiling fans to better circulate heat from the small wood stove. Recently a new double hung screened window has been installed at head level and easy to operate during the night. The wood stove is equipped with a glass window, which provides a fireplace-like flickering light ambience for your cozy room. With firewood provided for at no cost during mild temperatures your reduced carbon footprint will be noticed by our Earth’s most grateful ecosystem. Winter stay with more wood burning required may raise the price of dry firewood available. Fresh Spring Water is contained in two 5-gallon carboys. A small copper sink is tucked into the food preparation countertop for cooking and wash ups. On the entry porch an antique ice chest will be chilled prior to your arrival with plenty of space available for a few days stay. Two small 12v overhead quiet fans move fresh air around well. The Queen bed consumes one quarter of floor area and is the inviting centerpiece of your lodging with fresh sheets & towels for your arrival. See deals below. A combination two-burner stove with oven provides for your food preparation needs and a new propane grill rests on the outside dining table. A very cool sunken FirePit with a cooking grill is also close to the cabin door. Fire wood may soon be packaged in small bundles for purchase or you pack it down from my house no cost. The adorable Earth composting loo a few steps from the side door accommodates your disposal needs and is well light along the path. Verizon cell service is usually available at the cabin for voice but data is slow up load tho a great upload was posted on Instagram by guests from the cabin door? The fee structure is $125.00 for a single night occupancy but bring your own sheets and save another $10.00 per night. A comforter/duvet is available as well and blankets are overhead the bed storage area. (Website hidden by Airbnb) FEE STRUCTURE: A stay of one night is $ 125.00 but with your own sheets you can save $10.00. For two or more nights and with my fresh sheets the rate is $125.00 per night which lessens the burden for me doing laundry more often. With your sheets then it would be $10.00 less per night. (This pricing becomes effective on January first ‘19) The fire pit wood is presently free but your salvage efforts from close by fallen limbs is encouraged. Few ticks are usually detected near the groomed cabin grounds and have never been noticed on the walking trail. Don’t forget Cabin Slippers, rain gear if sketchy weather is forecast. Try to bring your own ice for the cooler if needed but if burdensome I will fetch it for you ahead of time.
Tho the cabin is secluded your short drive to Concord (the State Capital) can offer numerous social, artistic and entertainment venues to enjoy. From C’bury to Manchester is about a 50 minute drive and The Currier Museum of Art is a must if you have time to go there. Historic Shaker Village is also located in C’bury and is a major destination for cultural/historically curious visitors. If visits here are Winter oriented then numerous ski tours and snow machines are welcomed about the area and here. Bring your pets if desired but remember that the floor space is small. Emus are fine as well but must be stabbed outside or in one of my exterior studios. Have a pack Lama too perhaps?
  • This tiny earth house will blow your mind, from the outstanding welcoming to the peacefulness of the surroundings you will enjoy every bit of your stay! chance, the host was amazing! such a creative person, the decor, the thoughtfulness the practicality of the space was awesome! i would recommend bringing bug spray! have fun and relax!!!

  • Highly recommended to any campers looking for a peaceful cabin getaway

    Geoff2018-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • This dwelling and its host/owner are truly remarkable . Staying at the little earth cabin was a wonderful experience . Chance has created such a beautiful dwelling ,sighted so perfectly in the woods surrounded by conifers and mature oaks. He was so helpful, carried most of my gear in, got the wood stove started and the outdoor pit as well , as he knew I wanted a campfire dinner. At 72 , I thought my winter camping days were over, but the little earth cabin has offered me a wonderful opportunity to keep those skills alive and to experience some solitude in the woods. I am definitely returning

  • What you think you need: everything. What you realy need: pants, sweatshirt, boots for roaming, sandals for inhouse, underwear and socks, tshirts, warm pjs, and BUG SPRAY! SO MUCH BUG SPRAY. Pack light, like a backpack, because you will be trekking through a 950ft downward warding of mosquitoes. If you have any implants for joints I suspect this might be challenging. Keep in mind although you are in a sheltered space you are camping. Like real camping with a bed and a wonderful host. I highly recommend this for people looking to escape the super fast paced world and trying to recenter. This place heals. Peace.

  • Chance was a lovely host who has a great cabin in NH. It's a quick drive from Boston, so an easy getaway. He was very responsive to all my questions, made sure that I was completely set up in the cabin (including prepping the fire pit for me!), and then allowed me space to have a nice, quiet time. I highly recommend for anyone who needs a break from the city.

  • This cabin was great! Felt homey and cozy when entering. Quiet area, great to relax. However there are no curtains people can see through the bedroom area.

  • I had a great time in this beautiful cabin.

    Carla2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really cool. The interior has been completely re-done and the wood is beautiful. The layout was perfect for our family, and the location is fabulous! We had great meals nearby at THOP and a Casa Amigo; and, access to Gunstock was an easy drive! Eric left nice hospitable touches throughout (popcorn, eggs, the towel set up, extra blankets, etc). These were all nice because we stayed during a snow storm!

    Erica2019-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Eric was a great host. Instructions were clear and our stay at the lodge was exactly as expected. This is the perfect place for closed friends or family to stay at a 2 minutes bike ride from the Highland bike park.

  • Great location! 5 of us stayed here (4 adults and 1 child). It was very easy to get to all the activities we had planned and the beds were comfortable. The house was a great place to gather at the end of the day and hang out together. We will definitely be back.

  • Fanastic place to stay if you are looking to shred at Highlands. Just down the road means a warm up pedal in the morning and then a quick down hill rip back to the house for lunch, dinner and beers. Totally worth the value and plenty of beds for everyone.

  • Aurora’s place was awesome! It’s small but has everything was a great size for two people. It is updated and well decorated. It fits in well with the NH feel if you know what I mean? There are many awesome touches like cream (even coconut creamer) milk coffee juices oatmeal etc. The bed is comfortable with a feather topper and super soft sheets. One of the best things about this place is the privacy and the animals the resident horse and cat are magical and are so much fun to interact with! Wish I could’ve taken advantage of the health services that Aurora offers ☹️ maybe next time!

  • Great place to stay for a weekend getaway!

    Miles2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed just for one night. Just long enough to be enchanted by this classic and well loved home. Our hosts were kind & accommodating in being flexible with our late arrival. What was also wonderful was to have our dog welcomed here and the privacy provided us space not to have to worry about the extra noise he might be making! It is really close to so many points of interest and yet such a peaceful retreat.

    Sarah2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect setting for a getaway! The sunrise was beautiful, the summer flowers were blooming, and we felt right at home. A beautiful, cozy setting.

    Tracey2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely idyllic place. It’s a 30-min drive to Concord but so worth it! Be aware that there is a short stretch of dirt road leading up to the house that can get bumpy. If you like/need to be close to town but want to feel like you’re at an R&R, then this is the place for you. Aurora’s place will be my first choice if I need a place to sleep in the Concord area again. Book early, this one will be sought after.

    Mara2019-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean home the hosts are very friendly and beautiful beautiful atmosphere and property. The place we stayed in was very clean and comfortable everything needed for a few days away.

    Madeleine2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • HIGHLY recommend checking this place out, especially if you like nature! It’s super clean, cozy, and quiet! Amazing location and perfect for a good relaxing night. Aurora was very hospitable and responded quickly to any questions I had. I was lucky enough to stay here on the night there was a harvest moon and had a great view of the stars as well! The entire property is gorgeous, fun to explore, and the animals on they had were so sweet! The room is attached to the main house but was still private. Everything you could possibly need. It’s the perfect size space for 1 or 2 people to spend a night or weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will absolutely be checking availability for future trips to that area!

2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms, living room and fully equipped Kitchen! Second floor Farmhouse apartment within an antique colonial on a 140 acre 1743 farm and equestrian facility in the country, yet super easy access to I-93 - 10 minutes to the historic city of Concord or go north to the Lakes Region or the White Mountains!
Windswept Farm was built by Samuel Moore in 1743. Over the last 270+ years it has been the home and working farm to many families. Sampson Battis, a decorated Revolutionary War hero and slave to Archelaus Moore actually lived in the apartment for many years in the 1700s. It was also a Summer Retreat and lively Tavern over the years. It has been lovingly restored and now offers a quaint and comfy 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. Windswept is now a working farm and equestrian facility with riding arenas and trails. The grounds offer 140 acres of peaceful tranquility. From perennial gardens to fruit and vegetable gardens, there are many areas to explore. The views and sunsets are breathtaking. There are many hayfields and miles of groomed trails to hike, bike, snowshoe and X-C ski. The rental rate includes the NH 9% rentals tax. Your private entrance includes the original old quaint entryway with the wide floorboards, a handmade coat rack and shelf with a boot tray. There is also a small bathroom with a shower on the first floor. Up the original narrow stairway you enter into the dining/bar area opened to the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. In each of the two bedrooms, there is a queen sized bed with crisp Egyption Cotton linens and bedside tables with lamps for reading. The master bed has a brand new medium plush Brooklyn Bed mattress - extreme comfort! The cabin bedroom has a very comfortable medium firm mattress. You will find plenty of closet and bureau space to put your things away. The master bedroom has a spacious bath which is 2 steps away in the common hallway (privacy provided with a thick partition/room divider). The second bath is on the first floor off the entryway foyer. In the winter it can be a bit chilly! Soft cotton hand and bath towels are also provided in each bathroom. The apartment has a TV with a full premium cable package and the entire apartment has Xfinity Wifi Internet. Puzzles, magazines, books and games also provide indoor entertainment. You will also find an outdoor table and chair set with a barbecue grill for outdoor meals. Snowshoes, XC skis (size 9 and 11) and bikes are available for your use on the premises. Horseback riding opportunities are available for beginner to experienced riders at an additional cost. Spacious well bedded stalls are available for those traveling with their horse. We promise a quiet relaxing country atmosphere, yet we are 10 minutes to historic Concord NH. Other attractions nearby: Music Venues - Meadowbrook and Capital Theatre of the Arts, several museums, Quickwater Canoe and Kayak, Disc Golf, Tennis Courts, The Tilton Outlets Shopping Mall, White Mountains, skiing, snowsheoing, snowmobiling, Hampton Beach, Lakes region and Weirs Beach, The Canterbury Shaker Village, NH Motor Speedway and 4 Public Golf course/Country Clubs! Come visit our peaceful pretty farm in the country and enjoy a little history and alot of beauty. You are welcome anywhere on the grounds. There are 2 large barns, one is a big red antique with lots of original treasures. The other is a stable housing horses and is attached to the indoor riding arena. We hope you make yourself at home on our 140 acres of gardens, trails, hayfields, forest and stone walls. There are several outdoor chairs placed around the grounds for you to relax and enjoy. Our farm mascot is Elizabeth, sweet cluckable Bantam Hen. She has a HUGE personality! A grounds and trail map is in the home manual in the apartment. We tend to give our guests their privacy after checking in. I am always just a knock, text, or phone call away for any needs regarding your accommodations or to give advice about the farm, restaurants, town of Canterbury, or the central NH areas. We are out in the country and live at the end of a short dirt road. Our only neighbors are our farm critters. It is typically nice and quiet with the exception of the neighing of horses and the farm tractor's rumble. A vehicle is necessary and we have plenty of parking. We do not allow smoking in any of our buildings and can provide an ashtray upon request for smoking outside.
The neighborhood consists of gardens, hayfields, stonewalls and forest.
  • Corrine and Craig's Windswept Farm was the perfect base for us to visit our NH family. It was close enough that we could come and go, and quiet enough that it provided a respite when needed. The kitchen had everything needed for basic food prep, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Although we were there when there was snow on the ground, it us obvious that walking the property trails would be both fun and good exercise. As it was, the classic farmhouse and scenery made us feel like we were in a special seasonal postcard, and we look forward to returning on another visit to family.

    Susan2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We have hardly spent any time in New England in our many years together, so we planned a trip with our daughter and son-in-law who live in Washington, DC. Since we would end up in Boston at the end, we wanted to get away up the coast and then into New Hampshire. Corinne and Craig's farm seemed like just the place for the four of us to spend several days - not too far away, but so not the big city. The directions were great and we had quite a lovely late fall drive over from Cape Ann. May, the dog, gently greeted us when we arrived and opened the car door. Corinne and Craig were right there to welcome us and show us the apartment. It was just what we were expecting and met our needs perfectly. While we didn't spend much time during the day there, we did get out for a long walk around their property - on the trail through the woods and back across the pastures. And, the kitchen was nicely equipped to allow us to cook several meals. There are several areas worth visiting around Canterbury, including the Shaker Village, the Millyard Museum in Manchester, a covered bridge or two, and the L.L. Bean outlet in Concord. The Pullens are a great source of information about other activities nearby. We had a wonderful time on our visit, and staying at Windswept Farm made it so comfortable and relaxing.

    Walter2013-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved getting out of the city and spending time at Windswept. Being able to walk outside and see horses, dogs, cats, and goats was wonderful. The animals were very friendly and the welcomed us at every turn. During the second day of our stay, I had a riding lesson, given by Corinne's lovely daughter. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I'd recommend Windswept to others looking to relax. The lodging was just what we were anticipating. Everything was clean and comfortable. There was a slight bend in the floor, which made walking into the kitchen a little humorous, but it really didn't matter since everything else was terrific. Thanks again for having us! We'd love to come again someday.

    Gina2012-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stopped in for a quick overnight on our way to the mountains. The accommodations were exactly what we needed. Communication was great from Corinne.

    Kimberly2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant stay in Windswept Farm. The apartment is cozy and well furnished. Corinne is a great host, she has been very helpful with every request we could have had. And it was a great pleasure for us to be so close to horses, goats and chickens. The kids were delighted. I would recommend to stay there for anyone who wants to spend a few days in this charming area.

    Marie2012-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful farm. Lovely apartment to stay in. We had a very comfortable stay!

    Kate2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The two of us were looking for an escape from the city (Boston) for our first family vacation since the arrival of our son (only 6 weeks old). We wanted somewhere close (it was less than a 90 minute drive) and outdoorsy (there are some beautiful walks around the property), and the farm delivered. On top of that, Corinne and Craig's were so warm and welcoming that we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We're looking forward to visiting again!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Roxana’s Sawyer Lake cabin. Our two young children loved swimming in the lake and playing on the beach. It was a leisurely 7-minute walk from the house to Beach #1 (which is one of the nicer beaches on the lake, according to one local that we met walking on the road). We enjoyed making a small fire in the outdoor fire pit one evening, and enjoyed the croquet set as well. The kitchen is small but well equipped with microwave, toaster oven and coffee machine, as well as the standard appliances. The screen-in porch was our favorite dining spot. All in all a lovely spot.

    Michael2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • For me personally, this was the first time that I have stayed in an Airbnb and Roxanne's home absolutely took my breath away. Her home was so welcoming and inviting. I went on a road trip with five other women and stayed at Roxanne's home. Everyone with in awe with how welcoming the home felt upon entering and how tastefully decorated the home was. • House is a work in progress. Functional not fancy but met our expectations based on information provided. No surprises and Michael was super nice and very helpful. If you want 4plus star accommodations look elsewhere for now but it fit all our needs and was clean and safe in a nice location.

    Joseph2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and the inside was clean. The 3 season porch had a hole to the outside in the roof and there was a wasps nest on the inside roof. The yard is pretty much a junkyard but if you just need the house to sleep in while you enjoy the day on the beach then you’ll be fine. The house itself was clean and slept 5 people comfortably with 4 beds and a couch. Michael was a great host.

    Tim2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This location was a normal lake house. There is evidence that the space is being worked on but besides that it fit the need for our trip. Michael had a great response time with any questions I had.

The historic guest house is conveniently located in the picturesque Center of Canterbury, in mid-state Merrimack County, New Hampshire, and is easily accessible from Interstate 93 and Route 132. Canterbury Center Bed & Breakfast offers rural tranquility at night and fresh home cooked breakfast using excellent local produce in the morning.
  • We had a fantastic stay with Lois. Everything was as advertised, and check in was flexible and easy. I never had trouble reaching Lois, and she responded promptly to questions. She personally checked us in and gave us great recommendations and options for dinner in the area. We loved the historical feel of her Bed and Breakfast which was in impeccable condition. The room was very comfortable with it's own private bath. We left after a very filling breakfast. We would stay with Lois again without hesitation.

  • Lois is a wonderful host! Attentive and truly cares about her guests. Her breakfast was amazing and her home is lovely!!

  • This bed and breakfast is exactly the quaint New England b&b you expect! Adorable area, lovely house with lots of character, delicious breakfast (and warm cookies upon arrival)! Lois was very responsive and easy going. We had a wonderful time, would recommend it to other and return on future trips!

    Courtney2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • A charming old home in a quaint area of New Hampshire , very close to New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Concord. Very clean, and Lois went out of her way to make shure I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The lack of central air was not a problem, in the evening a widow fan was all that the room needed, even in very hot weather. I plan on staying again.

    Phil2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • loved this little nest amidst the Fall colors. Canterbury is a cute town and this B&B is central to it all. Country store and Church across the road, great local roads for walking and the local sports parkare all set in an idyllic New England frame.

Come enjoy our warm and relaxing, lakefront cottage. Even in the fall and winter our private sandy beach is perfect for SNOWMOBILE & SKI at the LAKE! Located on the Belmont Snowmobile Trail, you can load up at the cottage and enjoy a whole day out on your sleds. Plan now for fun at Gunstock MT (15 min.), or just hang at the cottage and enjoy ice skating, snowshoeing, sledding, and ice fishing from your back door! • Wonderful cabin for a family getaway. It was such a treat to have a private beach, and really appreciated all the toys they had for the kids. Michelle was a friendly and accommodating host. Would definitely stay here again.

    Conor2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect cottage experience on a quiet lake. Scott and Michelle were very gracious hosts and ensured that everything was in place for our stay. The lake is quiet and the morning sunrises should not be missed. The cottage is roomy and and comfortable with a nice screened in deck that ended up being our favorite place to hang out. There is plenty to do for both kids and adults inside and out. Highly recommended!

  • Nice kitchen, beautiful screened in porch, lake is pretty small.

    Shiphrah2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This trip was exactly the getaway my family needed...plenty of room for everyone plus dogs. the house was clean and well stocked with all kinds of things to do from kayaks and canoe to video games and air hockey. Our chilly autumn stay was quickly warmed by the wood stove. I would happily come back!

  • Beautiful location and great hosts.

    Patrick2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is perfect for a summertime retreat. Everything from the screened porch, to the kayaks, beach, and firepit is amazing. It was so nice to be able to enjoy time together as a family with lots of fun activities. We had 3 generations and everyone enjoyed themselves.

    Victoria2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED this adorable lake cottage. My sister and I stayed there with my elderly parents and our 5 school-age kids, and we all had a blast. We loved the way the cottage was decorated, we had so much fun playing board games, taking in the view, and eating meals on the amazing screened in porch. The lake was nice for swimming (clear and not too cold) and everyone had fun exploring the lake with kayaks. Not too far of a drive from Boston and very peaceful. We also enjoyed the walk around the lake we took each morning. I hope to come back again soon!

We love spending time in our cozy, woodsy home right on the lake, and we think you'll love it too! It's 20 minutes from skiing at the family-friendly Gunstock Mountain, and 40 minutes to Loon & other mountains. Comfortably fits 8 people in bedrooms, with a sleeping loft and queen-size futon for two more people. 75 minutes from Boston and 5 minutes from the highway. Supermarket, Home Depot, and outlet stores right down the street.
The house is extremely easy to get to and close to lots of amenities, but once you're here, it feels like you're in the middle of the peace and quiet of the woods. The house has an open kitchen, hardwood floors and tons of light as you look out over the lake. Enjoy your coffee at the dining room table, while watching the local bald eagles, herons, and other wildlife.
The neighborhood is super quiet and safe. We live on a little private road in the woods, so there are very few cars driving around.
  • We had a wonderful long weekend on Silver Lake - the house is perfect with wonderful views of the lake and the sandbar is just a short paddle away. A perfect spot for families!

  • Spacious lakeside house with a dock in a nice, quiet area which is yet still very close to town. Did not stay for the lake but it looked very clear and would be nice to visit in summer. Views of the lake were available in all rooms of the house giving a nice natural brightness. Although we did not use it, there was a large deck with BBQ available for use.

Back on AirBnB again after taking a year off. Book now for best dates. Sit on the deck and enjoy sunset over the pond. Go for dip, or paddle around in the canoe. Pick blueberries and just relax. This is a special place - not too far from civilization, but it feels like you're away from everything.
Laze in the hammock. Sit on the deck. Float on the water. You decide how to relax best
  • A great little house in a beautiful, very quiet, secluded area. Master bedroom and deck overlooks the pond just steps from the house. Parking is right by the street with stairway down to reach the house. The one, fairly small bathroom is downstairs but has everything you need. Would love to stay here again!

  • Wonderful place. The pictures do not do it justice. Loved waking up overlooking the lake. Coffee and breakfast on the deck. A morning swim across the lake. Lounging in the hammock. Kayaking was terrific. I was so relaxed. Coming back I am. Thank you so much.

  • We stayed in Matt's cottage for a month while our family was in transition as we moved from Chicago to Concord. Couldn't have asked for a better place to call home and live amongst all of NH's natural beauty. Such a clean, picturesque cottage with modern amenities (dishwasher and W/D, TV, wifi) and a fully equipped kitchen. Highly recommended!!!

  • I spent about 10 days at the cabin during a work trip. It was a great place to unwind at night on the quiet lake but still close enough to Concord to easily commute in every morning. Looking to come back for another trip in the immediate future.

  • We enjoyed a wonderful 4 day visit at Matt’s cottage. Everything was as good or better than advertised. The cottage is very informal and perfect for relaxing with a small family. Enjoyed swimming and floating in the clear, clean and relatively warm pond and nice to have a canoe to use. Lovely deck for peaceful morning coffee and cookouts. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed picking peaches at a gorgeous local farm and walked on beautiful trails at the nearby Audubon Center. Would gladly have stayed longer. Thanks.

  • Matt was a fantastic host. He made sure we had everything we needed prior to arrival. The cottage was beautiful and exactly as described. The homey feel and view from the master bedroom were priceless. Will definitely be back.

The outdoor sauna is the perfect addition making your getaway extra luxurious. The welcoming house has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay, including 3 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, hammocks, lawn/board games, fire pit (perfect for s’mores), gas grill, wireless internet access, central heating/AC and 2 flat screen TVs equipped each with a Chromecast/Roku – sure to appease all your entertainment needs during your vacation. Just a 90 minute drive door-to-door from Boston the lakeside house is perfect for a Summer beach getaway, a Fall foliage escape, or a home base for a Winter ski vacation (Gunstock is 20 minutes away and Loon is 40 minutes away). Pets may be allowed for an additional fee.
SHOPPING/FOOD: Tanger Outlets (Banana Republic, Nike, Coach, LOFT, Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger, Easy Spirit, J. Crew) - 5 min Big box & Grocery Stores (Walmart, Market Basket, Home Depot, Loews, BJs, etc.) - 5 min Restaurants (Applebee’s, UNOs, Five Guys, Starbucks, Lone Star BBQ (amazing), Raw Life Juice Bar, T.G.I.Fridays, diners, cafes, etc.) - 5 min Weirs beach - 20 min Golf course - 2 min SKI MOUNTAINS: Gunstock Mountain - 20 min (has night skiing!) Loon Mountain - 50 min White Mountain National Forest - 1.5 hr CROSS COUNTRY SKIING: https://www.traillink.com/cityactivity/belmont-nh-cross-country-skiing-trails/ AUTUMN ACTIVITIES: Moulton Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Picking: Once the tail-end of September rolls into town, Moulton Farm is decked with the sights and sounds of autumn. This fun-for-all-ages farm features a seasonal corn maze that spans several acres, perfect for an afternoon’s worth of the fun kind of family decision making. On the hunt for the great family pumpkin? Take your pick from the pre-selected lineup, or venture out into the “pick your own” pumpkin patch to fetch one together (go on a weekend and you can ride there in style — on a tractor, that is!). Once the lucky squash is selected, the farm has set up convenient tables for painting or carving together right on-site. Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad: Mini engineers in the family will be all aboard on an afternoon of traveling along the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad. This nostalgic locomotive makes its rounds about the lake, traveling from Meredith to Lakeport without ever losing sight of the area’s favorite watering hole. Plan your family’s fall visit accordingly to add a little extra entertainment during your ride — event options throughout the season include everything from foliage perks to turkey dinners aboard the train. Apple Picking at Stone Brook Hill Farm: Family fun is ripe for the picking at this Gilford, N.H. apple orchard. Throughout the fall, Stone Brook Hill Farm welcomes visitors to pick their own ample amount of apples — and with 1,600 trees spanning over 12 acres, it’s easy to do just that. Scaling the trees to snag the juiciest, just-out-of-reach finds is almost as exciting for the kids as the classic hayride on the way to the orchard. Round out the trip with a stop at the farmstand to sink your teeth into locally-made cider donuts or apple cakes. Ghost Encounters at Canterbury Shaker Village: Although a visit to the 200-year-old historic Canterbury Shaker Village is well worth a visit on any ‘ol day, it’s made even more frightfully fun when planned as one of your family’s fall activities close to Halloween. Professional actors bring the true stories of the Shakers’ ghostly encounters to life, right where they took place, during an evening tour through the Village. Afterward, you can look forward to Halloween-themed activities and an opportunity to trick-or-treat. Costumed tour-goers are highly encouraged, of course.
  • The house beat our expectations. The place is bigger and more spacious than pictures show, all the couches and beds were all very comfortable. The backyard is amazing, there is a private beach, lots of kayaks, and a big yard with a fire pit - something for everyone. The hosts were responsive and helpful whenever we needed them. Overall a great experience and we hope to be back next year!

  • It was great house and we loved the view but we had issues with water and noone was there at that time to fix it.

  • Nathasha’s Ven Den is ideal for families. The Lake access and privacy was fantastic, yet we were only minutes away from food, drink, and fun!

    Fred2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our long weekend there. The house was clean and comfortable, the deck has great views and obviously the lake was so much fun with the kids. The paddle boards and kayaks made the trip! The lake was fairly quiet during the day when we were there, with minimal boat traffic, which really made it easier for the kids to paddle board and kayak. Natasha made everything easy, from check in to check out.

    Chris2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Natasha was very responsive, the place was clean, cute, and spacious and we had a great stay!

  • Great location, only 25 minute drive to Gunstock and right on the water. Host had 3 kayaks and 2 paddleboards so was great for our small group to get out on the pond.

  • Lois’s bed and breakfast is a hidden gem! We had a beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean room and breakfast was great. Lois was a friendly and helpful host. We’d love to come back and would recommend Lois’s place to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.
