Sidra, el néctar dorado
The Cider Farm Tour and Tasting begins in the Tasting Room with a sample of excellent organic apple juice, and an introduction to the Cider Farm family. We venture into the orchard of 3000 West Country cider apples. You discover some of the fascinating history and folklore behind cider and experience a surprise 'Wassail' or orchard blessing. Bees are important to us and we tell about their role in pollination, chemical free farming and wildlife. I explain how we craft our British Champion Ciders over 8 months from sun ripened apple to crisp, golden nectar in a glass. With a behind the scenes tour of apple pressing, harvesting and bottling equipment, you can see how see we press the apples and produce the ciders. We encourage guests to ask us questions about the art of blending and the alchemy of turning apple into award winning, amber-gold cider. The Tour is completed with a sampling of 4 delicious, handcrafted ciders, all made from organically grown cider apples, from Sweet Maiden cider, Old Harry Rocks vintage, Dorset Wild Cat, to our Elderflower, Ginger or Damson ciders.
After the tour, you can relax in the Cider Garden, admire the art.
Please dress according to the weather with appropriate footwear and coat, as we take you for a walking tour of our orchards.
Descubre el increíble Dartmoor
Active, personal, informative landscape interpretation. Allowing you full access to the millennia of human history under your feet. Live the landscape don't just see it! The granite which forms this area is approx 1000 Sq Km, bending the Earth's crust with its massive weight so that even gravity is slightly different here! Today's, mostly agricultural, National Park was once a hive of industry with granite, iron, tin and lead being mined here. The remains of these industries are there for those who know what to look for. London Bridge, now in Arizona, came from these quarries as well as many other famous London buildings. Gunpowder was also manufactured up here out of harms way. The Dartmoor men had no access to steel so they built their railway out of the most plentiful local material, granite! We will see their handiwork and marvel at their ingenuity. Living in the quarries and joined by their wives and families in the finer weather they were a tough lot. Human habitation stretches back to at least 40'000 years ago and the earliest NW European Human jawbone, post Neanderthal, was discovered here in a cave which, in modern times, is coastal. The moor can be seen as barren and with the exception of the livestock and wild ponies it is sparsely inhabited but you will leave this magical place knowing why, where, how and what it meant to our ancestors and more importantly to you!
Talleres de mosaico en Torquay
This is a unique experience and specially designed workshop to create your own mosaic within a few hours. If you cant see a suitable timeslot for you you can request a different time. Evenings and weekends arecpossible. You will mainly concentrate on the design of your mosaic and use the tiles available or I will cut them for you. I have offered the workshop the last 7 years and it is suitable for all the family. Once you arrive at the hub I will show you which projects you can make. Usually we manage 2 small mosaics (coasters) or one larger one like a plaque or house number. Not everyone takes the same time. If you know you like to take your time being creative I would make sure you have not anything else booked immediately after as some people take 2 to 3 hours. You will get complimentary tea or coffee. There is a large selection of different mosaic tiles and you are fee to choose your own creative design. Once you are happy with your design we will stick it on the base you chose and when it is complete I will grout the project for you. You can take it home on the day and leave the grout to dry over night. All you have to do is give it a final wipe with a wet cloth in the morning. The main aim is to switch off from everything else and just have a good time being creative.
Other things to note...
The experience is suitable for ages 5+
I look forward to welcoming you.

We start in the horse barn & encourage guests to interact with our wonderful horses, but if you prefer you can watch from a distance.
Learn a little about the horses, their working life and their harness before we hitch up & climb aboard the carriage to begin your trip back in time through the peaceful countryside surrounding our farm.
Children can take an active part in proceedings if they wish.
Out on the ride I will share some local farming practices, local history, & give you an insight into our way of life, but if you want peace & quiet, we can do that to!
We can often adjust timings & numbers to suit your party. Our hay wagon can accommodate 15 people in a private group, and we can make bespoke arrangements for the disabled.
Our carriages are comfortable but open to the elements and it can get cold, so make sure you bring warm, weatherproof clothing.
The welfare of our horses is important to us & we are proud of their turnout & condition.
We hope you leave us with a real sense of the nobility our horses & of having travelled back in time in our horse powered time machine!

Descubre la magia de Avalon
Our time together begins outside the famous Glastonbury Abbey, at the Abbey Gates. From there, we will follow the old pilgrims path to the Scared Thorn tree of Joseph of Arimathea. Your journey then proceeds on a mysterious path along Faerie lanes, through the Jesus field and on to the Orchards of Avalon. This is where we ask permission to enter the sacred enclosure. Then we head to the very top of the Tor itself. On the summit, tales of Saints, Kings and the Faerie folk who dwell there are shared.
At the top of the Tor you are left to sit in silence for a moment to embrace the healing energy of this holy place. After that we come together in a healing ceremony, connecting in circle to share our thoughts, share what was felt of just be.
On our way down to the White Spring, the candle lit water-chapel beneath the Tor, we visit the Chalice Well Gardens. (Entrance into this World heritage site is not included).
The ultimate goal is to connect with the magic of the land. This is no normal guided tour, this adventure is for those who are seeking to embrace the quest, to step across the veil.

Meet working draught horses on a horse powered farm
Come and meet our three Suffolk working draught horses on our traditional horse powered farm.
Our horses, Albert, George, and Joey provide the motive power on our farm (along with the beautiful Bella!). We have no tractors and all of our farm work and woodland management is done with our horses.
Watch the horses being groomed and prepared for their working day. We hope you will want to get up close and personal with them and learn a little about how we use them on our farm.
I will explain about our “barefoot” hoof policy. None of our horses are shod, yet we use them daily over all types of terrain. Watch while I harness one or more of the horses, and learn a little about the farm equipment and the harness we use.
Experience the magic of these marvellous, noble, wonders of nature. Photos very much encouraged.
The experience takes place under cover in our horse barn, so no worries about weather, and your support helps keep us going and preserves traditional horse powered farming.
In most parts of the U.K. working draught horses are a rarity, something almost completely lost to the countryside and to our rural culture since “progress” deemed them not sufficiently efficient for modern times (nonsense of course!). Take a step back in time and see how foolish we were to imagine farm life was better without them!
