We are Denver local hiking enthusiasts who love to take guests of all levels of experience to low traffic trails with breathtaking views all year round! We are the original Denver guided hiking tour. We start our adventure at one of Denver's best coffee shops, in the Highlands neighborhood, minutes from downtown. We will customize the hike based on the preferences of the group and the current trail conditions. We'll connect with nature, soak in the sunshine, see jaw dropping mountain views, maybe see some wildlife, take snack and water breaks, learn about the wildflowers and trees, make new friends, get some exercise and breathe in the fresh mountain air! We will take amazing photos (check out our insta @hikingintherockies) and send them to you at the end of the hike for memories that will last a lifetime. Our hope is that you'll feel healthier and happier after spending time hiking with us and connecting with the beauty of Colorado. There will be an optional group lunch after the hike or you can buy lunch at the coffee shop and eat at a picturesque spot on the trail. The guided hike's elevation will be somewhere between 6,000 and 12,000 ft. A car is not required for this experience, but we encourage guests to provide their own transportation. If that is not possible, we are happy to drive you in our car and we will return to the meeting spot at the end of the tour.

Beat the concert crowds with our expert guides as they lead you on a beautiful, quiet, educational hike on a trail at Red Rocks. What to Expect: After intros, we'll scamper down the trail + set off on a 1.5-mile adventure, with the smallest of elevation gains (~350 ft). Throughout the ~70-min. hike, we'll meet plenty of animal friends (including photo bombing mule deer!), snap stunning pictures of you, + share stories of the park's history: from her prehistoric inhabitants (dinosaurs) to modern development by the Civilian Corps, + legendary tales of the artists (U2, The Beatles, + more!) who have played the amphitheater. After, enjoy a classic hiker's brown bag breakfast in the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater on your own! FAQ - Is this good for business groups, bachelor/bachelorettes, team building +/or families? Please contact to book. We will be making one of a kind wood and resin Pocket Pipes from scratch! No kits here! You will start by picking out your wood blanks for your bowl as well as our hybrid stem blanks that will be assembled during our workshop, cut, carved, engraved if you like, polished and finished into something you can really be proud of. Of Course we have to try them out so feel free to bring tobacco or otherwise since this is Colorado...and give them a try! Feel free to bring a friend to observe for FREE! However seating is limited and prioritized for paying participants work order will go: -Pick your wood -Assemble the blanks with glue and clamps -Use the drill press to prep our bowls -Carve, sand, shape the pipes - take a quick beer/wine break -Enjoy your new creation! We will be in my shop (Garage) the entirety of the work time and most of the class primarily using a rotary tool with an extension attachment (makes it like using a pen to carve/sand rather than holding the entire tool) Other things to note Any and all experience levels are welcome, I especially encourage folks who have never tried any wood working. I will always be there to help or step in if any step of the process makes you uncomfortable. I can often accommodate custom time slots as well, just shoot me a message anytime!

(St. Mary's Glacier) Join us on a hike up to St. Mary's Glacier all year round (transportation provided from Denver or we can meet at St. Mary's). We will ascend through the stunning Colorado forest and end with a breathtaking panoramic lake view. This is one of our favorite hikes in Colorado (1.5 miles round-trip). (Indian Hot Springs) Next, we visit another historic landmark and soak in the natural geothermal cave pools, which will be perfect for our muscles after our hike and is included with the price. Due to demand of geothermal cave pools the caves sometimes get a little busy but sometimes they are completely empty. (Beau Jo's Pizza) Afterward, we will eat lunch at Beau Jo's. The building has been around since 1880 and is one of Colorado's hidden gems. Idaho Springs has a population of 1,717 people and is a gold mining town founded in 1859 during the Gold Rush. If you want an experience with little risk and a whole lot of reward, this tour is for you. I provide all the equipment, just come properly dressed and get ready to explore all of what colorful Colorado has to offer in one single day. In this experience you will meet new friends, discover a new culture, and learn the basics of Japanese Sake and how to enjoy it. Some of the topics include: What Is Sake, How It's Made, Historical Context in Japanese Culture, and How to Pick a Bottle! This tasting is BYOB: I work with a local shop to create special carts for this experience. Ranging from $10-25pp, they include 3+ different styles that cover the depth and variety that sake has to offer. You pay online, I do the rest. We will discuss the tasting notes in a collaborative format - you will work as a group to discover and expand your palate with the Sommelier as your guide, not your lecturer. You'll join Chef Kelly at a beloved local brewery to learn all there is to know about crafting authentic Asian dumplings completely from scratch. Bring your friend group, a date, or your family along with you and grab a crisp, locally-brewed beer to kick off this beginner-friendly class. You'll get started by combining simple ingredients to create dumpling dough. Then, combine a hearty mix of veggies and spices for a sumptuous dumpling filling with that distinctive Asian flavor you know and love. Have some fun as Chef Kelly demonstrates how to intricately fold dumplings for a classic, artful presentation just like you'd see in a restaurant. Pan-fry or steam these delightful dumplings to perfection and dig in while they're nice and hot! After practicing knife skills and learning all about expert flavor pairing, you'll leave class with some awesome new culinary know-how to take home with you.

Get hands-on in the glass studio with a local glass artist. We will spend about an hour and a half together, during which time you will get a feel for glass as a material and make your own piece of art. You'll get to work with tools, air, and fire to shape and mold the material into an object of your creation. Glasswork is hot and fast, so be prepared to get your heart rate up and get in a good, healthy sweat. Please note that glass art needs to temper overnight, so you'll either need to come pick up your piece the day after your session, or I can ship it to you. Other things to note The glass studio is an active workspace. I share my studio space with someone who works on CNC machines. He is very friendly and loves meeting new people!

Pareidolia art class and art tour Hello! Come experience my Pareidolia art class and tour my unique, local Denver home studio, which showcases 80 of original works. Located in eclectic Five Points, which is walkable to the Rino Art District and some of the best restaurants and breweries in Denver! Pareidolia: A psychological phenomenon that causes people to see patterns (faces) in random or ambiguous visuals. This often leads to people assigning human or animal characteristics to objects and shapes. I have created an art technique that explores this phenomenon. In this class, you will choose from serval pareidolia prints in which you see a face or animal, then pick from an array of markers and colored pencils to color, draw and bring to life the creatures you see. We break away from the classroom setting and sit on my cozy couch with a lap desk. I will provide tips and directions whilst playing psychedelic music, in hopes of sending you into flow state. Flow state is a magical place where ideas come flowing in, time doesn't exist and realizations occur. Before class, I can explain some of my own pareidolia art pieces. My ‘Translating For Trees’ series is my most recent collection where I paint on wood using my pareidolia technique. People love seeing these in person and hearing the stories the trees have to tell. I hope to share my class and life’s work with you!

Discover the wonders of the night sky just outside of Boulder with our all-ages tour! Accessible by car, Taxi, Lyft & Uber, the tour starts at sunset and lasts for 2 hours. A professional astronomer will guide you through the cosmos with several large telescopes and a laser pointer. We will explore the wonders of our universe including planets, constellations, star navigation, satellites, nebula, clusters, galaxies, and even shooting stars (if lucky). You'll be able to take in the breathtaking beauty of these celestial objects through our telescopes with your own eyes. The tour takes place at an easy-to-find trailhead, and there's no hiking required. You'll have the chance to see phenomenal sunsets and wildlife in the area. We provide our guests with a red flashlight, comfy camp seating, bug spray, and bottled water (upon request). We encourage our guests to bring questions, a sense of wonder, and warm clothing (as it can get cool after sunset). We can accommodate most requests for availability to fit your travel plans (the sooner the request, the better - we prefer to have at least 1 week's notice). Join us at a beautiful trail nestled in the foothills of Denver! This is a great opportunity to experience the beauty of the Rockies without a long drive. This trail is located 30 minutes from Denver and it's easily accessible year-round. We will go on a leisurely walk to explore the scenic views while photographically documenting the experience. We are seasoned photographers with over 300 5-star reviews across all platforms! Details: * Consider choosing a weekday to avoid crowds. * This is a private experience. You will not be booked with strangers. * The trail is easy to navigate for beginners and children. Your adventure begins at a cafe conveniently located in central Denver. After a short introduction we will head to the hills and carpool to the hiking trail. On your hike you will learn about nature, get to know new friends, take water and snack breaks, and take heaps of pictures of the breathtaking views. The hike is about 3 miles depending on the ability of the hikers and length of the trail. After the hike we will return to the cafe. All of our hiking experiences are personalized based on the size of the group and ability of the hikers. We offer both group and private hikes, corporate events, large parties welcome! We cannot wait to show you the beauty in Denver’s back yard! Please let me know if you have transportation (like a rental car) or will need a ride to the trail and back, we are happy to do so, space permitting. “Valerie is an awesome host, she made the whole experience very fun and delightful. She is great at bringing the group of strangers together in such a short time. And the goats are just fantastic.” We begin our goat hike at the STAGE STOP, 20 minutes West of Boulder. After introducing ourselves, some Western lore, and the "girls" (goats), we'll start our hike of 2.4 miles through the historic living museum beginning with the Cloud City mining district. I’ll tell stores from the miners’ journals as I point out relics from their lives and mines. You will be selfing with the goats, taking panoramic pics of the mountain scenery and enjoying the mountain climb. You'll be seeing old mine portals, the school house and root cellar, stone walls, gold mine tunnels and stone cabin foundations. The land reveals many secrets of the past that I'll be sharing them with you. Along the way there is time for water and breathing. Depending on group size and weather, the famous Downhill Goat Race will conclude our adventure. Each hiker steers his/her goat down the hillside to the winner’s circle.
