Discover Vienna's historic old town on a fun and comprehensive walking tour with me. We leave the big tour groups behind and explore the city in our own small team. Let's make it interactive - there are no dumb questions ;) We start on the banks of the Danube canal to find out why the Romans decided to settled down here of all places. A short walk later we marvel at the impressive tower of St. Stephen's Cathedral while I tell you about its hidden symbolism of numbers. Further highlights on the way include Mozart's apartment, the old Greek quarter, romantic hidden alleys and courtyards, the Spanish Riding School as well as an almost real da Vinci. Upon arrival at the vast Hofburg Palace complex we will finally talk about the rise of the mightiest family in the history of Europe: the Habsburgs. But Vienna's history doesn't stop with the fall of the Habsburgs: where did Hitler speak in front of 200,000 cheering Austrians? And what makes modern-day Vienna the city with the highest standard of living worldwide? While taking in the beauty of the city I will keep you entertained with the best stories about its past and present - plus some questionable jokes! My tour will be a journey through time to discover the identity of the city through its illustrious protagonists. You'll start in Piazza della Repubblica, where the Romans founded Florence over 2000 years ago. In Piazza del Duomo you'll admire with me the imposing facade of the Cathedral, in which the bloodiest murder that involved the Medici family took place: the Pazzi conspiracy. In the nearby 'medieval district' I'll tell you the story of Dante Alighieri, the poet who wrote the Divine Comedy. Michelangelo, Donatello and Cellini are other great personalities that will accompany us to the discovery of Piazza della Signoria. Piazza degli Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio will be other important stages of your itinerary. We highly suggest you join our group sunset tour. We will meet you at the harbor in Riomaggiore and then embark on our magical sunset tour. During the tour, we will slowly cruise up the Cinque Terre coast, stopping in front of each village to allow you to take photos of the towns from the sea, which is hands-down the best way to capture each village's beauty. Once we reach Monterosso, we will turn around and slowly head back to Riomaggiore. With the sun setting behind us, you will have the perfect view to capture magnificent photos. During the tour, you can sip on bubbles and enjoy homemade focaccia from the local baker, which is made fresh daily and is a must-try food while in the Cinque Terre. During the tour, you can also jump into the sea for a sunset dip. Take a deep breath and enjoy the paradise that surrounds you. We aim to make your night, and maybe even your holiday in the Cinque Terre, a lifelong memory, and show you 'La dolce vita.' The tour lasts for around 2.5 hours.
