Senderismo con alpacas en un bosque mágico
Alpacas take to trekking quite easily. They walk in a line, one behind the other on a head collar & lead rope. Our guided treks start at our farm and ascend into the forest. The walk itself is at a very leisurely pace and lasts about 1.5 hours (there are inclines and the terrain is uneven with tree roots underfoot). PLEASE NOTE: MINIMUM AGE 12 YEARS, no infant carriers (and all guests must speak English). When you arrive on site, the alpacas will be grazing, and we will call them in using their yellow food bucket! Simon and I will introduce you to the alpacas whist getting them ready with head collars and leads. We will have a brief health & safety chat, as well as give you some idea of what to expect and some pointers so you can interact with your alpaca. We will also introduce you to all of their individual quirks and personalities. Alpacas are not able to carry packs or people, so they will accompany us as we walk the forest trail. We try not to let them stop to nibble grass for long periods. Half-way around the walk, we release the alpacas in an enclosed area, so we can feed them treats, and you can get very close and intimate with them. They will love you when we give you the apples and carrots to feed them. There will be plenty of photo opportunities throughout your visit. When we return to the farm, we will finish with a fibre and spinning demonstration.

Bee and Honey Experience on the Dingle Peninsula
The Dingle peninsula is blessed with many different bee habitats that translate into different flavours in the honey. So join us over a welcome tea or coffee with homemade bread or scones and partake of a local honey tasting, whilst watching a live construction of a hive, and learning about the important parts and how the specialist tools are used. Learn how to identify the queen bee, her drones, and the worker bees before setting out on an exploration of the garden to see what flowers and tree blossoms are being "worked" by the bees that day. Then don a bee suit, boots, and gloves and learn how to carefully inspect a hive without upsetting the bees. Identify the different bees, and what to look for to assess the hive's health. Then join us on the patio for freshly brewed coffee and sample some local cheese varieties that pair especially well with our local honey. Other things to note. All participants will need to sign a waiver of risk before the Experience. All reservations will be subject to weather conditions. If the temperature is below 10° C or raining, the Experience will not include the actual inspection of the hive. If your family has more than two members, they are all very welcome to join us but only two members will be suiting up to inspect the beehives. This is so as to avoid creating stress on the bees.

I’m offering this experience to anyone who feels the need to connect to nature in a deeper, more profound way, are curious about alternative healing methods & plants, grounding exercises and/or are interested in shamanic practices. We will meet on a remote rocky shore in Tuosist, which is a very quiet and safe place. I’ll give you an introduction about shamanism and how to find ones power animal, the one that was sent by mother earth to reconnect us to our own power, find grounding and cherishing the present moment. You will do your own meditation/healing, while I am drumming and holding the space. We will then do an healing journey focusing on your needs, which is guided by me. This is not a one off healing, but an introduction and experience providing you with the tools for self- healing. I would love to welcome you here, create a beautiful memory together and connect.

+++ THE WORLDS ONLY PLACENAMES TOUR+++ This fascinating tour now INCLUDES a delicious picnic lunch. It is said the mighty inscribe their toponymy on the landscape. Gaels, Vikings, Normans, Spaniards, Pirates, English and the Irish all controlled this section of coastline at one time or another and they all left their mark in the toponyms and microtoponyms of this beautiful area. Join us on one of the most beautiful walks in West Cork and create memories you will never forget as you learn about placenames and the amazing stories behind them. Together, we will explore one of the most interesting sections of the Wild Atlantic Way using toponyms - the language of its placenames. Our hike will take in secluded beaches, ancient holy glens, fairy peaks, hidden trails and rural boreens. All told we will walk about five kilometres. While undulating, this trail is easy and fun for beginners and the pace is easy. We will finish our tour with a local picnic consisting of artisan foodstuffs while overlooking the site of Ireland's biggest ever naval battle. During our picnic lunch, we will finish with two epic stories based on this location. One story will amaze you, the other story other scandalised Europe and the world in the 17th century.
Peregrinación al amanecer, chapuzón y desayuno
We start with a short dawn hike using a pilgrims path that dates back over 1,500 years to visit the secret holy well known as Tobar Bearcháin. Local swimmers traditionally travelled this path to ask St Bearcháin for protection from the sea. We then return to the strand and after a brief safety chat, we will swim or dip on the beach using the swim buoy provided. Wetsuits are also available for most sizes. While this is an exceptionally sheltered bay and we stay close to the shore at all times, no swim buoy = no swim. We will finish with a hot drink and a light breakfast back on the shore and listen to two amazing stories about the prince of Donegal, Aodh Ruadh Uí Dhomhnaill and the martyr known as Blessed Dominic Collins who are both associated with this tiny beach. Fun fact: this pilgrimage is 400 years older than the Camino.
