Your experience will be fun and informal yet informative and productive. You're definitely going to throw your own individual pot! We start by familiarising ourselves with the studio, the equipment and tools we will use during your experience. Then it's straight onto the wheel where you learn to centre the clay, and throw a pot. Onceyou have your pot formed we'll clean it up a bit and lift your creation from the wheel to dry. Then we'll do it again. Why not try another shape? You can throw as many pots as time allows. For an small extra payment which includes postage & packing (or if you are local and can pick up it's cheaper) at the end of your experience you can choose any pieces that you have thrown and when your pots are bone dry in 3 weeks I'll fire it/them for you in the kiln for 2 days then sand it down, glaze it in seashell glaze to be fired again to be packed off to your home. Important note: No children under the age of 12 yrs old, this is an adult experience and not catering for children Please be aware there is an EXTRA cost if you decide to keep your pots, this is for the bisque kiln firing and seashell glazing and you can decide either way on the day if you want to keep your them (or not) and how many (Postage & Packing is included in the additional cost.) During the workshop experience you will learn traditional craftsmanship jewellery making skills and techniques in small groups in a relaxed atmosphere. You'll be welcomed into my home, where the sterling silver ring making workshop will take place. You will learn to size your finger, measure out silver, cut, file and shape the metal before moving on to soldering, texturing and polishing. Eco silver and use of tools are included in the price and your pieces of jewellery will go home with you. Although designed for beginners, all are welcome to come and get creative with silver. The workshop will last approximately 3 hours. If you can't find a day or time that fits in with your plans, just get in touch as I am happy to change the workshop calendar to suit you. Please note that I have a friendly dog. She will not be taking part in the workshop and will only be allowed in to greet you if you agree...however, if you have allergies this is something you need to consider.

You will go up into the shop where we will have a brief health and safety chat, you will then receive your bag of feed for your alpaca and we will head into the field to meet all of our trekking boys. Once you have chosen your Alpaca and had a stroke of their super soft fleeces, we will walk around and up the field through our paddocks where we have other sheep and alpacas. With stunning views of Bodmin moor and our animals you will spend approx 1 hour walking around the fields where we will feed, and take photos. Once back down in the shop you will have your Cornish Cream tea, all made with Cornish products. You will be able to ask questions and mooch around our shop and see all our lovely quality made products. We hope to see you on the rolling hills of Bodmin Moor soon. After an introduction and a quick overview of your activity, it's time to jump into wetsuits and start getting kitted up for your experience. Once everyone is ready, we'll make the short walk to either of the Newquay's famous surfing beaches. We break the lesson down into two parts and explain everything you need to know in stages. Remember you don't need any previous experience and you'll have the support and guidance of your surf coach throughout the lesson. From explaining beach safety, how to manage your surfboard to catching waves, the first part of the lesson is designed to make you feel comfortable in the sea. After a quick break and​ recap on the beach, we'll cover some tips and techniques on how to 'pop up' and ride a wave back to the shore. The majority of our lessons take place from waist height in the surf so you don't need to be a strong swimmer. Just keen to give it go! This invigorating excursion will see us rock up in Rock on Porthilly Beach where we'll dine on oysters Alfresco in clear view of the beautiful oyster farm they come from & the rest of this stunning estuary with plenty of space to keep us safe! You'll be spoilt with copious amounts of pristine Porthilly Oysters, that you will learn to shuck yourself with expert tuition, knowledge of oyster culture and history and taste some amazing flavours of raw and cooked oysters. Situated opposite the famous Harbour of Padstow & surrounded by golden Cornish Beaches it's hard to find a more spectacular setting to enjoy these gorgeous oysters direct from local farmers, on the actual farm! There'll be plenty of shucking and oyster eating and depending on weather we'll fire up & BBQ a few. The set up is pop-up style, to give you an authentic oyster experience on the edge of the Camel Estuary. Come shuck & sip from the pearly cups next to the briney blue with Katy, The Oyster Lady. A fantastic one and half hour workshop ,harnessing the necessary skill set to work artistically with resin. You’ll learn the fundamental skills required to create your very own resin art Ocean master piece. This masterpiece will be a 250 x 300 mm piece of priceless art, framed and ready for you to hang in your home. Set back from the harbour front within the Sloop Studios the print studio is a chance to get messy in a working makers space. From experiencing hands on carving to making your own print runs. Erin will be on hand to help you with your design and guide you how to make your own stamps or screens. Learn the basics to making a lino block to printing your own fabric samples. All materials are provided with pockets of print knowledge. Other things to note The studio is open to families, one to one workshops and parties. The studio is a very relaxed working studio. Cornish Pasty Course The course kicks off with a proper pasty making demonstration that covers the history and culture of the Cornish pasty. Students then have a go at making their own pasty with hands on guidance from our tutors – especially during the all important crimping! Whilst the pasties are in the oven students will enjoy a demonstration of homemade scones. Students then sit down to enjoy a classic Cornish cream tea before heading home with their freshly baked pasties.

Hi! I offer 75mins individually designed yoga classes in my home Falmouth, Cornwall. My classes are light and fun and all focused around your well-being, so you can enjoy your stay in lovely Cornwall even more. I am a certified Yoga teacher with more than 9 years experience, guiding absolute beginners as well as advanced students. No previous experience necessary, nor do you need to be flexible or fit to book this session. I will design a class for your level! I offer yoga in English or German. The class will be in a beautiful location in Falmouth centre or if preffered and enough space at your AirBnB (if within 15mins radius of Falmouth). Price for the 75mins is £40 per person. BSUPA accredited Instructors, will coach you through your experience on this ready to ride lesson. The lesson is aimed to teach you all the fundamentals of paddle boarding, from different paddling positions to turning, and to give you the knowledge and skills to SUP safely, as well as having a lot of fun learning new balancing skills. Water safety and general weather conditions for paddleboarding are also taught on this lesson. On the day you will be required to fill in an industry standard liability form. Other things to note In the summer months the water temperature is high enough not to use a wetsuit, but it is always recommended to contact us prior to your lesson and we can advise on appropriate clothing. "Stand up paddle boarding is more than just a sport, its a way to see and explore our natural surroundings, a tool to travel and connect with nature, a state of mind, a lifestyle. It teaches us how to respect and appreciate our natural surroundings."

If you enjoy wearing silver jewellery, making your own is a great way to experience the process of making your own special piece. You will learn the process of making a ring, a set of stacking rings or bangle with an optional charm. From measuring, cutting, soldering, texturing and shaping to the final stage of polishing. After that, add a charm that you will need to make from silver sheet and involves more hammers, filing and soldering. All in all, a great experience and it will give you an insight into the process I enjoy so much. I am happy to teach children from 7 years old - They must have the ability to concentrate for a few hours and they must be supervised by an adult - although I will ensure they are safe when they use soldering equipment. Please note Please ensure you have closed shoes with enclosed toes (a hot bit a silver between the toes makes me cringe), cloths to get dirty, jeans are ideal. Baggy, woolly tops are a hazard in the workshop. Hair is best tied back out the way, it's very easy to singe. I have spare aprons, eye and mouth protection. Also, I have had a few customers request to change what they would like to make on the day - I can often accommodate this but it normally takes much longer, for this I will have to charge extra on the day. Please ask for more details. 3 people = 4 to 5 hours, each extra person add half hour onto the time.

Creating with clay. This oldest of human activities, allows us to return to our roots and explore our creativity through the medium of Earth materials. It's play for all ages. Glazed and fired, in a few weeks you'll receive your items in the post.

You will learn to handle and get the most out of your shellfish, gathering tips and tricks learnt from decades of experience all whilst enjoying warm hospitality in Katy's coastal home. If it's all too much for one sitting you can take home the rewards of your efforts for a salad or sandwich safely packed and wrapped. This seafood experience class in Newquay will spoil you, entertain you and give you the skills and confidence to buy the more exotic seafood that many feel is too fiddly or complicated to prepare at home. Other things to note We will potentially meet at the Harbour if timing works out for you to collect the shellfish with me, which means coming back up a steep hill/steps, keep this in mind in terms of fitness/ability levels.

Arriving at the studio, just off the high street, we begin with hand-building techniques and a cup of tea or coffee. The season breaks into three parts. First with hand-building methods, pinch pots and coil pots. Second is a demonstration on potters' wheel followed by personalised guidance on throwing a cup. Third, independently applying your new knowledge and skill to create your own wheel-thrown cup. After a few weeks for firing and glazing, your cup will arrive in the post to your home.

Come and join an amazing forage and wildlife tour with local guide Jonathan. Your tour will begin with a foraged (Hedgerow) Tea before exploring the beautiful Cornwall coast between Penberth and Treen, made famous by BBC's Poldark. Activities vary on each walk, they may include, but are not limited to: Dolphin spotting, Seaweed diving, Bird spotting and tasting the seasonal wild foods that grow on the far South West peninsula coast. Tours will end with a glass of Elderflower Champagne (Season permitting).
