Achucha y mima a cerditos kunekune
***Follow @halbertfarm on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitch for updates and to meet the pigs before your visit***
This experience is for 18+ only. Message us if you want to book a kids experience.
We will start the experience in the backyard where you will meet Ripley the house pig. You'll learn about the history of Kunekune pigs and what makes them so unique. If we have younger pigs that are living in the backyard you'll get to meet them then too. I'll have treats prepared for you to feed the pigs and you'll learn how to make them sit and get their treats. Then I'll take you to meet the adult pigs first the girls and then the boys. We have 20 pigs that make up "Halbert Herd" and their ages range from 4 months to 9 years. You'll get to feed the adults treats and they love getting attention and being petted. Most of them will lay down and want their belly rubbed. If we have piglets you'll get to spend time in the piglet pen, depending on their age, you may be able to feed them treats and when they get to be about 3 weeks old they will crawl on your lap.
Other things to note
Make sure to wear closed toes shoes, pigs like to chew on toes. Rain, hiking, mud boots are great options. You will get dirty and we will be outside. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. Long pants work better even when its hot because we may walk in tall grass in the pastures.

Austin Unlocked- A Speakeasy Tour
Go on a walking, cocktail tasting, tour of downtown Austin! We'll stop and talk about several hidden-face speakeasy style bars - some stashed inside parking garages, behind bookshelves, down alley ways, pass-code and password protected, and private clubs! We'll get you into three where we can order drinks!
Meet downtown and we'll sit and chat for a few minutes introducing ourselves and what it means to call a bar a speakeasy in Austin, TX.
Then, we walk to the first bar. All the bars are located downtown within a few blocks of each other. We'll spend 30-45 minutes in each of three bars, having drinks, learning about the place, and appreciating the aesthetic.
Throughout the night we will continue on past several more hidden-face speakeasy style bars, stopping in some and just stopping to talk about others. The night ends once you get into the third and final bar and get your drinks ordered.
We do not to include drinks to give you a lower price and more choice. We will have a group tab which can be paid for via cash, Apple Pay and Cash App. Prices vary by venue but $15-25 per drink (including a 20% tip) is a good ballpark.

Interested in fusing glass? This beginner or experienced kiln formed glass fusing experience awaits you. I will instruct you how to create a lighted lantern with 4 glass sides. Each side will be crafted by you. You will first learn the safety requirements, the differences in glass, what firing schedules are and how they are used. You will learn about the many techniques with an overview of what they are. Then you will learn about differences in kilns and glass molds and the many ways to use them. You will move in to learn how to cut glass. You will sketch your ideas on paper and then transform them into your lantern glass pieces. You will choose your glass and components to complete the sides of your lantern. Your project will include all materials and use of tools necessary to complete your project. With your project you will receive hands on detailed instruction, step by step, start to finish and an informational handout for you to take with you. You let your imagine run as you create. Whatever intrigues you is what makes working with glass so fun. My glass studio is located about a 35 minute drive from San Antonio or New Braunfels and about 45 minutes from Austin. The studio is on 90 acres in a very relaxed atmosphere with wildlife views. Come on in, sit back, relax and empower your creativity. Your vision becomes your reality and your lantern to treasure.

Sumérgete en la pintura
We will meet at Cypress Bend Park where I will have all materials and set up for a relaxing immersive painting experience. I will provide chairs, all art supplies and some light snacks and drinks. We will set up in the water, the river at this place is low enough to come right to the seat of a chair, the painting kits which I created are comfortable in your lap so that you can enjoy the cool of the water as you work on a painting of the beautiful cypress lined Guadalupe river. (For the winter months added, we will set up on the bank). I will provide art instructions as much as you like or as little and all ages and skill levels are invited. May also bring children or pets to play in the water during the session as long as you keep an eye on them for no extra charge. As well, may bring your own supplies or snacks if you like. The Guadalupe river is a source of endless inspiration; with the gentle shadows of clouds and cypress trees reflecting of the water, frequent birds and tubers can add splashes of life to your painting composition.
Other things to note
Please let me know of any concerns, I will always be available to communicate and want to make this a family friendly great experience.

Forest Mindfulness and Meditation
**True Wellness is Being in Harmony with Self and Nature.**
Are you curious to meet your truest self? The part of you that is whole and complete and peaceful, regardless of external circumstances? If you'd like to restore a sense of sacred awareness of self in a pristine natural setting, join me for an energy exploration that includes mindfulness, meditation, centering and grounding, and inner landscape inquiry.
We will begin by entering the forest intentionally with greetings/prayer and intentions, followed by a silent walk to a secluded wooded field.
We will gather in a circle and check in with ourselves and others (emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically), followed by a guided mindfulness and meditation practice, bells, and a final check-in. We will then walk out, restored in the present moment and re-connected with ourselves and the sacred life all around.
No specific preparation or experience is needed, except an open and curious spirit. Simply trust the 'yes' that you feel in your cells, and let's go!
Please dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water. We will be sitting on the ground, so bring a small mat or towel if you would like.
