On this tour, you'll join me as we explore the city and food culture through the medium of donuts. You'll learn about the history of Chicago, each donut location, how they fit into the larger food scene, as well as try some amazing donuts. We start from Doughnut Vault where we try some of the best donuts you've had in your life. Next we'll stop by Firecakes donuts to try a few of their seasonal flavors. Followed up with Stans Donuts near Michigan avenue and finally, we end at Do-Rite Donuts where they have both delicious donuts and fried chicken (if you want to get nuts at the end of the tour). This 2-hour walking tour explores the interiors and exteriors of gorgeous buildings from this surprisingly brief architectural period in Chicago, with some interesting details and stories about life in that era. Flappers, gangsters, jazz, speakeasies — we'll pepper those throughout our larger exploration of Chicago's magnificent Art Deco buildings in order to truly set the context for you! You’ll walk in the footsteps of those high on the potential of the future, before the infamous Crash of ‘29. You’ll understand why the Art Deco style is so timeless — why even for us, it has a stunning beauty that inspires us to this day. You’ll learn to look at this architectural style especially as a form of “marketing” for the ambitious people inside; you’ll put yourselves in the shoes of people whose focus was on the future, and whose architecture showed it. Fall back in time, and enjoy these interior spaces reminiscent of Metropolis, The Great Gatsby, and even Gotham City (we’ll explain that one…). Staying almost entirely within the downtown Loop neighborhood, we’ll explore the elegance of this fascinating period in Chicago's history.

I'm excited to introduce you to the sport of Knife throwing! Enjoy a 60 minute knife throwing session with a top notch coach right here in Chicago West Loop. We will provide everything you need when it comes to safety, throwing techniques and will be there to guide you throughout your entire experience. Once confident in the basics, our coach will instruct how to keep score and teach you several games. I promise you'll be crushing bullseyes in no time and will leave feeling like the ultimate knife thrower that you are! No experience necessary, all skill levels are welcome.

Taste your way through Chicago’s most famous recipes on this relaxing and fun Chicago food tour. In an exciting two and a half hours, you’ll feast on Chicago culinary legends such as deep-dish pizza, Italian Beef, a Chicago-style hot dog, and a delectable dessert!
