LET'S GET OUT OF THE TOURIST AREA where it is overpriced and crowded with people! This tour focuses on Ueno, which is not as crowded as Shibuya, Shinjuku and is less touristy. It is also famous with Japanese foodies for a good quality at reasonable prices. I'm going to take you to popular bars and restaurants for ONLY LOCALS (NO TOURISTS!!) where the staff speaks only Japanese. I will order signature dishes, and we will discuss the food and drink (and you can pepper me with questions). We will visit 4 restaurants/taverns in total, where you will sample sashimi, grilled fish and skewered meat, etc. You will also have the opportunity to try UNIQUE Japanese alcoholic drinks (5 or more different type of drinks) and you'll be able to experience what Japanese taverns are like. After visiting these three taverns, we will end the tour at a great Ramen shop that is popular with locals. At the end of the tour, I will explain which train station you need to go, depending on where you go. You are going to have a full-size meal on the day in several different restaurants included ramen, so again pls come hungry!

We'll start at the new Toyosu—the world's largest fish market. We'll then go to the outer area known as the Tsukiji old market and Tsukiji Uogashi, a new building with fish-selling areas, including a background area, We'll drop in for fish while experiencing the authentic and dynamic atmosphere of a wholesale market. After taking some shopping time at the outer area, we'll purchase a variety of fish and head to Asakusa. We'll visit the popular Buddhist Sensō-ji temple before we go to my shop to prepare Kaisekistyle lunch--Traditional Japanese Cuisine--, Kaisen Donburi—sashimi rice bowls—with fresh seafood and more. After our meal, we'll have some surprise treats. Please note that the markets are lively and changing each day. Please arrive on time and be aware that the experience can run over time. Welcome to No.1 samurai experience in Tokyo! First you'll change the clothes into "kimono" and "hakama" is samurai style. Introducing with tea ceremony Matcha green tea and Wagashi sweets Next we'll watch a real Japanese katana—a traditional sword used by the samurai of ancient and feudal Japan. Then you'll learn how to handle it with unsharpened katana. We'll also do a traditional Zen meditation. It's called "Rituzen". After doing meditation, you will be calm mind and you can cut one bundle of straw with real sword. Through using with real katana yourself, you can feel one part of swordsmanship as samurai. Lastly, you'll watch a performance using real katana by host. This experience has no flashy production, but you can feel the "real". We will start off this experience by learning about cultural aspects about mochi and the traditional sweets. Then we will go on to learning the various sweets: 1. Making mochi (rice cakes) using glutinous rice flour. You will learn how to make strawberry daifuku mochi. 2. Making your own dango (mochi balls on skewers) by mixing water with two kinds of rice flour, sugar and water and coloring it. 3. Making two kinds of seasonal "nerikiri wagashi"—traditional Japanese sweets. You will learn how to shape the dough into a seasonal motif. (Recipe and tutorial video on how to make the dough will be provided) 4. Finally, you will taste your creations with a bowl of matcha green tea that you will learn how to make. If you cannot finish the sweets you can take them with you in a box. Learn the art of Kintsugi—repairing ceramics using lacquer dusted with precious metals. While it usually takes more than a month to finish a Kintsugi piece, I've developed this lesson so you can participate in this craft in one afternoon. With my guidance, you'll apply lacquer and 24-karat gold powder using the traditional techniques and methods. You'll leave with your own Kintsugi piece as a souvenir of the experience. Other things to note At the end of the session you'll be taking home your own Kintsugi ceramic cup, decorated with 24-karat gold. This is worth about 100 usd or 10,000 JPY.

First, you will learn the basic history of swords and how they are manufactured. You will also actually disassemble a sword to deepen their understanding of its parts. During the iai lesson,you will learn proper sword etiquette, and the basics of handling and swinging a sword. Next, using a Bokuto,you will learn how to use the curve and center ridge of the sword. After that, you will learn about offense and defense when facing an opponent using a padded sparring practice sword in a mock duel. Lastly, you will be able to try test cutting .Each guest will have the chance to try cutting two rolled up straw mats. Cutting at the correct angle will result in a cut with no resistance to the blade. Once a you has completed the above three basic disciplines, you will receive a certificate of completion from BIZENKAI. Please take this experience home as a memory of Japan.

Let's dress up in a genuine KIMONO feeling Japan's traditional dignity. You can choose from plentiful color variations and sizies of Kimono, even big size (Women 150-180cm; Men 160-190cm). Summer time, I will prepare Kyoto brand yukata.But if you want to wear real kimono,you can try it inside the room.(outside is really hot) After dressing up, we will go to nearby Shibamata Taisyakuten Temple(known as the location of Japanese movie films.)It is a simple, local,quiet temple with wonderful garden and Buddhist sculptures carved throughout. Here on weekdays it is really calm and we can enjoy amazing art to our hearts content and take a lot of pictures of you wearing a kimono with the back of the temple garden. The Shibamata approach road is lined with shops selling delicious foods and souvenirs and people offers friendly and warm voices to you. And let's have a Tea Break dressing up in a Kimono in my house. You can enjoy green tea with Japanese sweets. There are about 400 shops, so it's difficult to understand what is happening and to find the good ones by yourself. We will also explore the backstreets of the outer market, and I will make recommendations and introduce you to my friends. There are red stickers, blue stickers, green stickers, and yellow stickers. The price of this experience is the lowest rank red sticker kimono. On the day, You can also choose a different kimono (blue sticker +2000 yen ($15), green sticker +4000 yen ($30), yellow sticker +6000 yen ($45).) 2. Iron the hemming tape and put the loops through which the belt passes. Learn how to remake into a new kimono in various ways. 3. Coordinating the kimono you made with the easy-to-wear obi, obiage, and obi tightening. Wear it and take a photo. Other notes ・Men don't have a part called "ohashiyori" in their kimono. Therefore, men's kimonos cannot be remade to add length. For men, we have an experience to print the family crest and kanji of the name on kimono, haori, juban and make it into a jacket. ・There is an additional charge for purchasing a obi. Let’s become sushi master by spending a half day with sushi chef! This tour consists of two part. First, we will see around Tsukiji fish market where I will explain how each fish differ. Also I will explain a bit about how to make soup with kelp and dried bonito. Second part is, you will experience sushi making, you can make your own sushi! I make some Omakase sushi for you as well. *Note The duration for this tour is 3hr to 3.5hrs. If you join from 12PM, I recommend walking around the market before we meet.

We will travel to some of Tokyo’s most iconic attractions as well as walk through some of the lovely inside streets. We will take a series of unforgettable high-quality photos. We will also go to some of Tokyo’s most beautiful hidden spots to take stunning unique images of you! And don't worry, I know it can be uncomfortable sometimes to take pictures in public. So during this experience, I will also teach you how to take good poses for men, women, and couples. Whether you are alone, a couple, or a group of friends, I will guide you through the whole process and give you a comfortable and enjoyable experience. And after this experience, you'll not have to worry about how to pose in front of the camera anymore. We will meet at Shinjuku station and head towards Kabukichō to take pictures. Then we will go to the area’s hidden spots only locals know. Max 7 days after the experience you'll receive, at least, 40 professional pictures fully edited. We will meet and start at the busiest train station in the world, Shinjuku station east exit. Then we will walk to the atmospheric alleyways of Omoideyokocho, where we can see a plethora of small Japanese izakayas that mostly offers yakitori or chicken skewers. Then next we will walk to the Kabukicho area, This entertainment district is filled with bright lights, bars, restaurants, and pachinko parlors as well as touts and hustlers. This place is also where you can find the famous Godzilla road and then from there, we will go to the Golden Gai, which is a collection of mismatched tumbledown bars lining alleyways. After this, (IF TIME PERMITS) We can also move to Shibuya, via the JR Yamanote line train and show you the young and vibrant visual of Tokyo. In daytime, we can detour to one of Tokyo’s most popular parks, the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. The park's spacious lawns, meandering walking paths, and tranquil scenery provide a relaxing escape from the busy urban center around it. (Park’s entrance fee not included) The tour is going to be approx. 2 hours. All of these while I take some candid and posed photos of you.
