Once we chat about how to responsibly and passively interact with turtles and other sea life, we will walk down to the beach and hit the water! We will take it nice and slow so you have a few moments to get accustomed to your gear and you feel confident enough to enjoy the underwater world. This is a natural sea grass bed, which is why we are blessed with turtles :) Please do remember, however, that this is a completely wild experience and we could never guarantee the sighting of a wild animal. 99 times out of 100 we see several baby and adult turtles per tour! Nuestra experiencia, comienza en nuestra comunidad, Chemuyil, donde nos prepararemos para nuestra aventura. Al comienzo de la clase, empezamos describiendo todos los ingredientes que usaremos mientras compartimos la historia del plato, por qué es tan popular y cómo se presenta normalmente en nuestra región, Cartagena. Como parte de nuestra experiencia, te enseñaremos a preparar un aperitivo y un plato principal de principio a fin, con tus propias manos. Estarás pelando, cortando y sazonando todos los ingredientes según la tradición de Cartagena. In a beautiful Mexican-style house, surrounded by gardens, our Culinary Experience starts off with a brief, yet quite informative, introduction to the essential flavors and ingredients of Mexican cuisine We will also do a mezcal tasting so you can learn how to identify a good one! Then, moving on to the unique experience of preparing an authentic Mexican meal from scratch! We try to always use traditional utensils, like metate and molcajete, to have a real cooking experience. Aprenderás acerca de los planes de Rehabilitación, Reproducción y Reintegración de los mas de 85 animales de diferentes especies que albergamos. Tendrás un encuentro muy cercano con varios animales. Siguiendo los lineamientos de Naciones Unidas con respecto al bienestar de animales silvestres. Podrás acercarte y aprenderás con las explicaciones acerca de cada uno de ellos. Podrás conocer el árbol tóxico, el árbol doctor el árbol del chicle, y otros. Plantarás un árbol en la jungla mejorarando así tu huella ecológica. Conocerás la abeja melipona sin aguijón y podrás degustar su miel y aprender un poco mas acerca de la polinización y la vida y costumbres de este insecto declarado recientemente por la ONU el ser vivo mas importante del planeta. Tras la visita emprenderemos al melipona río nos dirigiremos a nuestra unidad de manejo ambiental para conocer de cerca las actividades e iremos por un sendero en la jungla hasta llegar a 200 metros a un magnifico cenote subterráneo donde podrás zambullirte y nadar en sus aguas iluminadas y cristalinas.

Luego de reservar nuestra experiencia llegará a nuestro lugar donde será recibido, Luego nos dirigiremos al pequeño restaurante donde daremos unas entretenidas clases de cocina, donde nuestros huéspedes podrán aprender a preparar un platillo típico costarricense de principio a fin utilizando ingredientes orgánicos producidos en nuestro huerto o comprados en la feria orgánica de la zona, luego de preparar el Desayuno y el almuerzo dependiendo el que elijas, lo compartiremos con nuestros huéspedes por lo que deben venir con ganas de probar la comida costarricense ya que nuestra experiencia apunta a ser única y debemos comprobarlo brindándole a nuestros huéspedes más que en ningún otro lugar , también daremos clases de cocina desayuno o almuerzo, luego haremos un pequeño recorrido por nuestro huerto orgánico donde podremos ver algunos de los productos que consumiremos, podremos caminar por uno de nuestros senderos y ver algunas ranas , insectos, pájaros y es muy probable que veamos un perezoso, Experiencia familiar donde preparar y degustar su propia comida típica y orgánica de la región, compartiendo con una familia costarricense.

Podrás recibir un taller de chocolatería con degustación completa de todos los subproductos del cacao. Desde el inicio conocerás brevemente la historia del cacao en América, probando fruta fresca de cacao, luego semillas deshidratadas y tostadas, nibs, polvo de cacao. Luego pondremos manos a la obra con la chocolatería más moderna, conocerás cómo preparar cacao puro, para seguidamente lograr distintas concentraciones de cacao en la pasta de chocolate (70%, 85% y 100%). In this Adventure you will visit the Tanama river in the Arecibo area. It starts with a hike down a muddy, slippery and rocky trail to the river(1.5 miles of hard hiking). We will arrive to the top of a cave and do a 250 ft long zipline that will take your breath away with the view. Here is where most participants rest a while for the next activity. When we are all set we will hike upstream to a huge cave and then jumped into the refreshing water. We will enter the caves and we will see some amazing water curtains and springs. At the exit of the second cave we do a small stop and you will have the option of submerging into the water to visit a secret cave. Tour isn’t over yet. Now the guides will show you the best tricks to do the white water tubing. While you are in the white water tubing you will pass some rapids and also some amazing canons all the way until you get to the third and last cave. At the exit of this cave you will do a small climb and the hike back to the cars. Duration 4-6 hours. Other things to note Don't let the beautiful sights fool you. This nature excursion is unique because it is in our home. You will meet my family and all the birds living in the wild who make our garden their home. We'll start with a welcome and brief history of how a cliff turned into a botanical garden. This is followed by a guided visit of the terraced garden with hundreds of tropical plants. At the end you will then visit the gallery and gift shop where all items are made on site. This helps us to provide jobs for members of the community presently employed here. Our guests are then encouraged to stroll the garden on their own taking pictures and visit my partner in his studio as he paints. We are both educators, so the history of Jamaica and Rastafarians are shared with interested guests. Each guest is given a complimentary juice depending on the fruit in season. You can purchase an optional Jamaican lunch which is cooked to order. The lunch is not included in the entry and may be paid on property when you order. Amateur and professional photographers can spend hours in the garden as the subjects are numerous. There are optional art classes with my partner as the instructor. Luego de recoger a todos, vamos a Barú Playa Blanca donde tomaremos una lancha local para ir a las islas, donde hacemos snorkeling, visitamos Cholón, Isla grande y la zona de Playa Blanca Tranquila en Barú. Son visitas cortas en islas públicas donde podrás explorar, divertirte, hacer nuevos amigos, tomar lindas fotos y nadar por un rato. Si no sabes nadar, tranquilx! Tenemos chalecos salvavidas todo el tiempo. Aprox. a la 1:30pm estaremos de vuelta en Barú para almorzar una bandeja caribeña en un hostal típico y tendrás acceso a las instalaciones y baños del lugar. Aquí puedes decidir si regresas a Cartagena en el bus entre las 3pm y 4pm … o te puedes quedar a ver el atardecer de Barú, daremos un snack al caer la tarde y puedes continuar con el plan para nadar en el plancton luminoso, entonces, tomaremos nuevamente la lancha hasta la laguna encantada para apreciar el plancton, ¡un fenómeno natural muy bonito! durante 20min aprox. Hora de salida de Barú en un bus más grande con AC: 8:00 pm aprox. Ten en cuenta que el regreso será en el punto más cercano a tu hotel, algunas zonas son restringidas después de las 2PM. ¡Anímate y vamos a divertirnos juntos!

Free Videos, Guided Beginner Tour! Don't know how to swim? That's ok, I specialize in taking beginners out! We will meet for check in at Escambron Beach Park (type into maps or Uber). Once you enter Escambron Beach park's main entrance, you will pass the guard shack(if you are driving you will need to pay for Parking) and continue straight down the road to the very end of the parking lot to the left. Once you arrive, you will see a a red Kiosk and snorkeling equipment. Please check in there 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Once checked in, I will go over a safety briefing and information on the sea life we will encounter. The tour will begin in the shallows where we will be trying on equipment and once comfortable we will begin snorkeling around the famous Escambron Marine park. Make sure you keep an eye out for all of the different sea life at our dive site. Because we are viewing sea life in the ocean not an aquarium, we cannot guarantee you will see sea turtles, however, majority of the time we do. Other things to note This tour was designed for any level of diver, from non swimmers to olympic gold medalists. Make sure you wear your swimwear, bring water, sunscreen and a towel. I do have a place to store your bags while on the tour.

Al comienzo de la clase, empezamos describiendo todos los ingredientes que usaremos mientras compartimos la historia del plato, por qué es tan popular y cómo se presenta normalmente en nuestra región, Cartagena. Como parte de nuestra experiencia, te enseñaremos a preparar un aperitivo y un plato principal de principio a fin, con tus propias manos. Estarás pelando, cortando y sazonando todos los ingredientes según la tradición de Cartagena. Cada persona tendrá la oportunidad de hervir, freír o asar su comida, proporcionándote una experiencia culinaria única mientras degustas los platos que es posible que no hayas tenido la oportunidad de preparar antes. PROGRAM Departure Time: 830 a.m. Return Time: 430 pm In this excursion, we will get to know its main island; Isla Grande, where we will snorkel to the surface with a mask, then we will go to a private island to rest a bit while we enjoy the Corales del Rosario National Park. We will make a panoramic tour through the tunnel of the mangroves, we will enjoy the best atmosphere in the boat with music to reach Playa Cristal where we will have a delicious lunch with an excellent view and atmosphere. - Transportation by sports boat with sounds system, captain and assistant, to the Rosario Islands, departing from Cartagena. - 2 Snorkel sessions. - Stop at a private house for some snacks and beach. - Stop at playa Blanca. In this Adventure you will visit the Tanama river in the Arecibo area. It starts with a hike down a muddy, slippery and rocky trail to the river(1.5 miles of hard hiking). We will arrive to the top of a cave and do a 250 ft long zipline that will take your breath away with the view. Here is where most participants rest a while for the next activity. When we are all set we will hike upstream to a huge cave and then jumped into the refreshing water. We will enter the caves and we will see some amazing water curtains and springs. At the exit of the second cave we do a small stop and you will have the option of submerging into the water to visit a secret cave. Tour isn’t over yet. Now the guides will show you the best tricks to do the white water tubing. While you are in the white water tubing you will pass some rapids and also some amazing canons all the way until you get to the third and last cave. At the exit of this cave you will do a small climb and the hike back to the cars. Duration 4-6 hours. Other things to note Don't let the beautiful sights fool you. This adventure is for real adventure and nature lover only. Please do NOT daydream. If you are not sure that you don't qualify you probably don't.

This activity starts from our dock in the Encenada Honda Bay (Culebra Island). We will have a short briefing about safety before we board the vessel and where to store belongings. Then a Short drive thru the bay on our way to one of the outer islands locate offshore near Culebra named Luis Peña, and it’s surroundings to the west of Culebra. Typically we try and make two stops on two separate either beaches or reefs so you can enjoy more of the ocean. Once we arrive to the islands, you will be provided with Snorkeling gear to enjoy at beach where you can swim to see the beautiful reefs, corals and a variety of fish. Then we head back to our dock to finish off the excursion.
