Los fantásticos bagels de Montreal
Welcome to the only place in Montreal that will teach you how to make Montreal bagels! 1000+ five star reviews!
Montreal bagels are world famous for their shape, taste and texture. A trip to Montreal isn't complete until you've tried one of these amazing bagels. So why not try your hand at making them yourself? I will teach you the secrets on how to make some deliciously unique and authentic Montreal style bagels at home, the easy way.
We will start by learning how the ingredients used affect the Bagels and the final result. Then we will all measure our ingredients using scales. After that, I will show you how to properly mix and knead the dough which you will do on your own right after me. I have adapted the best Boulanger (Bread Maker) techniques to the home kitchen so you will become a confident baker at home in no time!
After mixing the dough, we will learn how to shape the bagels, boil them, dress them up with various toppings, bake them and finally eat them fresh out of the oven! Not many things can beat eating freshly baked and delicious Bagels that you have made yourself right out of the oven.
You will leave with a detailed recipe to take home.

Introducción a la alfarería con torno
With guided, professional instruction, you'll have a fun and creative time making an item out of clay on a pottery wheel. I will show you how to work with the clay, get it ready for the wheel, center it, and eventually start shaping. Usually students can make either a small bowl, plate, mug or vase on their first try. You will get up to 30 minutes of time on the wheel which is plenty to create one item, and then you can add accents to your piece i.e. handle and you'll get to handbuild for the remainder of the time (add accents to your piece). You can take the pottery home with you the same day you make them, or—if you'd like—I can fire your work, glaze it, and ship it to you for a small fee. I also offer other experiences: canvas painting, glass fusing, hand building with clay, mosaics, glow in the dark painting, pottery painting, silkscreening. ***Drop me a note if you'd like alternate time for your appointment.****

We meet in the borough with the highest concentration of artists on the strip where a massive mural festival is held yearly.
We're going to be hitting the streets of the Plateau Mont-Royal to check out anywhere between 20 - 30 works of art. The murals range from 2 - 9 storeys tall. We'll be learning about the artists, the message and different techniques as well as about Montreal street art and graffiti scene.
We'll take to the smaller back streets and alleyways to cover some hidden gems and just might witness some live work. Here we will discover some installations and different types of guerilla art as well as get to know some of our graffiti writers and crews a bit better.
This experience is great for locals, visitors, team building and private groups. Really anyone who likes pretty things and learning about one of the city’s subcultures.
At the end of the experience we'll be handing you a list of recommendations for watering holes, local designer shopping, cool art galleries and the best food. The essentials of travel, quoi. Ask your guide to point out other great street art locations to continue on your own.
Our Farm tour will include an interactive personal experience with goats, donkeys, chickens & friendly barn cats.
When you arrive at the farm, parking is by the main gate & you will be met by Deborah or Brent, do introductions and go over rules for safety of both animals & humans.
We will start off with the story of why/how we started the farm & how it has evolved over the years while you meet the chickens and our rooster Scooby Roo. We will talk about different breeds, many colours of eggs & check out the nesting box.
Next its on to the goats. We have a total of 32 goats of different sizes , colours & different breeds. Each one has their own personality & are extremely friendly. If you are lucky we might have some baby goats that you can snuggle, as we breed fall thru spring with kids being born spring thru fall.
Along the way you might run into Buddy, our escape goat that jumps the fence and thinks he is a dog. Onward to the little boy goats that are super friendly and will climb all over you giving you licks & hugs.
After some fun and lots of selfies, we will head over to the donkeys and pet them thru the fence. They are very sweet, love their head pats, and are also our guardians of the farm.
Our animals are excited to meet you!
Scenic coastal tour in an expedition Zodiac - Lunenburg
Are you a road-less-travelled kind of person? Would you like to experience a beautiful, less touristy part of Nova Scotia? Join us for a 2-hour coastal tour through Tanner's Pass and Lunenburg's back passage — a pristine part of the Atlantic Ocean.
Our tour is in a professional, 19-foot Zodiac MilPro HD. These popular vessels are the black, inflatable boats you find on expedition ships around the world. They're also the boats we operate as photographers and guides in Antarctica and the Canadian sub-arctic.
So what will we see? It is common to see numerous seals, osprey, great blue herons, various sea birds, mink, and deer as we Explore the South Shore. We’ll also talk about flora and geology as we cruise the area. It truly is one of the prettiest parts of Nova Scotia!
There are two things we cannot control; wildlife and weather. That said, we keep a close eye on marine weather forecasts and if we have any safety concerns, we will reach out asap. We operate rain or shine so please be prepared to get at least a little wet. We’re not whitewater rafting, but there’s still a very good chance water will come over the bow.
Please contact us if you have any questions at all!
