Age 7 and up. Good mobility needed! An unforgettable, educational experience visiting the unique glow worms after a short walk through World Heritage listed forest and rainforest. We will meet at sunset, spending a little time introducing ourselves and safety briefing. Then as the stars begin to appear, with the use of torches, we begin our 20 minute walk to the overhanging cave and waterfall, with the possibility of seeing our amazing nocturnal wildlife. Possums, gliders, owls and bats to name just a few. Another truly amazing encounter, only within the first 3 weeks of summer is the chance of fireflies. We will spend 30 minutes to an hour in the overhang, behind the waterfall learning about these incredible glowing larvae and why they glow. The track is mostly in good condition, though there are some stairs and heavily eroded sections therefore a medium fitness level is required. Glow worms are extremely sensitive to light and sound so we will ask our clients to respect this and there will be a 5 minute educational talk around this before entering the cave. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the tour. Torches are supplied for everyone on this experience. Minimal impact is very high on our list of priorities and instructions will be given on how to achieve this. We ask our clients to adhere to these rules.

After picking you up from Sydney in our mini bus, we will drive to my hometown of Glenbrook to grab a coffee together at a cool local cafe. Before heading into the local National Park for amazing lookouts. We will take you on a moderate 90min bushwalk via some amazing view points, small waterfalls to the base of a big waterfall in Jamison Valley. Unless you are a big hiker this is more than enough :) We provide a social picnic lunch where we all connect & byo beers/drinks are fine. We can stop by an alcohol shop (please request at the cafe stop). After lunch we stop by the famous Three Sisters Rock formations up at Katoomba for photos. We also stop at Lincolns rock. Start the tour with bottle feeding the hungry calves , from week old to 6 weeks, make sure their tummy is full by introducing chaff and hay to the babies then a bottle of water to keep them hydrated before taking them out to the paddock . All done and it’s time to feed the big cows who still think they are little ! They like head rubs after feeding Calf cuddles at the end whilst watching the goats play when everyone is fed makes a pleasant end to the experience. If it’s a late visit needed then rugging the calves as they are put into the barn to bed is needed in cooler weather. Honey Wines Australia is the only meadery in the Hunter Region. In case you have not heard of mead, it is a wine that is made from fermented honey instead of grapes. This tasting location is at our small shop attached to our house in Broke. On a scorecard provided, your group will select 6 mead flavours, when done, hand it back and your samples will be prepared on shot glass paddle boards. Current mead flavours in stock include: Hunter Valley (Original/Plain Mead) Peach & Passionfruit Turkish Delight Lemon & Ginger Grapefruit & Orange Maple Syrup Vanilla Lemon and Lime Cherry & Coconut Following the mead tasting, we will taste a few local honey varieties including raw honey, creamed honey and chilli honey sauce. This is a unique, locally run, weekend guided day tour (approx 11am to 5pm) for small groups through the beautiful Blue Mountains in a lovingly maintained vintage VW Bus. (Normally up to 5 guests, but I can fit up to 7 passengers if you have a larger group). Along the way we'll visit some beautiful places that most visitors don't get to see—places of scenic splendour, waterfalls, a secret cave—enjoy a couple of short, easy walks, and maybe see various wildlife along the way. A brilliant half day abseiling adventure. The abseiling starts with a beginner friendly 5 meter high cliff. Your instructors are close at hand to encourage and explain the techniques. We explain each step, you progress through to a 15 meter high cliff and then finishing on a thrilling 30 meter high drop. The setting is beautiful bush land Just outside of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains National Park making it both a scenic and exciting adventure! You will need to have average fitness and no "major" fear of heights to take part in this activity. Other things to note Bring a bottle of water, your camera and a sense of adventure!! Dress according to the weather and wear running shoes (sneakers) or hiking boots

The first half of the day is abseiling, starting with a 5 metre high cliff and building up to 30 metre high cliffs during the morning. After lunch, it's a scenic 20 minute walk to the start of the canyon. You wade into the creek that descends into the narrow slot-like canyon and within a few seconds you are jumping into a rock pool, the first of several jumps and swims. This canyon is an exciting affair with water jumps, exhilarating swims, waterslides and fantastic scenery. The final abseil out of the canyon is one of the best waterfall abseils in the mountains. Clip into the rope, step back and follow the 30 metre waterfall down to the deep rock pool below. This is not just a brilliant waterfall abseil but also a fantastic photo opportunity. The dedicated team of Hosts behind High and Wild Adventures are myself, Darren, Tim, or Richard. We are a core group of keen outdoor adventurists. We have over a 150 years experience of adventuring here in the Blue Mountains. Our training takes two years, then our staff are mentored to becoming a lead guide. The adventure continues into two National Parks. You'll witness a 300ft waterfall with jaw-dropping valley views and explore the most scenic lookout situated at the highest point of the day, atop a 81m waterfall with massive orange sandstone cliff walls falling away deep into the valley.
