Join us as we walk to our favorite spots in Jabal Amman's local neighborhoods and into the hustle of the city center, all accessible on foot. From small food stands on one of the oldest streets in Amman, to the largest market downtown. With at least 8+ food and drink stops with all food included, hosted by Omar.
On our walk chat with us about the relationship between culture and food, and learn more about the Levant Arab region as we share stories about living in Amman as a local and American ex-pat. As well as enjoying the city's vibrant street art along the way.

Join me as we have a photo shoot and walk of the Amman Citadel. We'll walk around the site and take a variety of shots, and I'll share my personal favorite spots for photography. I'll get to know you more, and share my thoughts about living in Jordan as an American ex-pat.
Includes 40+ photos on a private online gallery. I strive to take flattering portraits with interesting natural compositions. It's perfect for solo travelers who rarely get shots of themselves. Or a great choice for couples and families exploring Jordan together.

On this tour, I will guide you through an in-depth journey through modern Amman focusing on its history. We will highlight the most important historical events of modern day Jordan by visiting places and people that bring these events to life.
This tour highlights the differences between the western and less-visited eastern side of the city, the role of immigrants, and economic history that has contributed to the east-west divide. Observing street art, graffiti, and local markets will help us explore the economic realities of each area. We will learn about daily life in east Amman from its residents.
I have a passion for storytelling and connecting guests with locals to learn about what life is like in Amman set against the last 150 years of its history. As many of the reviews have noted, guests find this connection to be special and unique, and something that most touristic experiences do not offer.
I would love to host you on this tour to meet the beautiful people and learn about the rich history of this city.

Experience Amman City To The Fullest
We will start our tour at the King Abdallah Mosque, admiring its beauty and learning about the Islamic religion. We'll also visit a small museum inside the mosque. Afterward, we'll head to downtown, where we'll walk through lively souks, witnessing the fusion of past and present. We'll also try the delicious food and desserts . Following that, we will visit the ancient Roman Theatre to uncover the city's history.

Descubre la caligrafía árabe
This experience will give you the basics of calligraphy; aka khat Arabi, an art that has been endorsed for hundreds of years in the region.
What will be the focus of this experience?
The Deewani script! It is one of the eight common varieties of Arabic script. it has been used for the important "messages" during the Ottoman Empire and is used till now as a smooth, lovely, and brilliant calligraphy font.
You will learn about Arabic letters, how to hold an Arabic pen, and to try the other fonts.
In the end, you can get your name or any other word you like as a design, you might like to keep it or convert it into a tattoo ;)
besides taking a calligraphy pen to practice!
Rincones imprescindibles de Amán
We will begin our tour at one of Amman's oldest district (Abdali), heading towards the main court of Amman (Palace of Justice) where we will share a little bit of Amman's history and judicial system.
Then we will visit a mosque and a church which are located at the same street talking about the diversity in Jordan and sharing the habits and traditions of its citizens.
As we continue walking, we will visit the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts which is a cultural, non-governmental, non-profit organisation, founded in Amman, Jordan, in 1979. Its goal is to encourage cultural diversity, disseminate artistic knowledge and promote art from the Islamic and Developing worlds. In 1980 it established the contemporary museum collection of artworks from the Developing World.
We will then visit a local jam shop which is a dynamic lifestyle brand from Jordan. Makers of artisan jams, botanical teas and raw honey. they design food experiences inspired by the landscape and my tourists get to buy and taste some of their remarkable jams.
The tour will end at Downtown Amman, which we will get to buy going down very unique stairs with graffiti drawings on every wall.
We will have lunch at the very famous Falafel restaurant and end it up with the delicious sweet Knafeh.

1)*:Downtown Amman. downtown is always lively! The place doesn't change Merchants are smiling and inviting you in their shops to try their delicious Arabic food, I will walk you through every hidden gem in the old streets of Amman and walking night life.
2)*:Amman Citadel Hill. This ancient historical site sits high above downtown streets, Explore the Amman Citadel (Jabal al-Qalaa) including Roman ruins (the Palace and Hercules Temple), the National Archeological Museum, and stunning panoramic views of ancient Amman!.
3)*:Roman Theater. Amman's Roman Theatre is a 6,000 seat theater built in the 2nd century when the city was known as Philadelphia.
4)*:The path of the nymphs. It is a nympheum located in the center of the capital and is considered one of the important Romanbuilding

1)*:Jerash. is a city in Jordan about 52km north of the capital Amman, Inhabited since the Bronze Age its known for the ruins of the walled GrecoRoman settlement of Gerasa just outside the modern city These include the 2nd-century Hadrians Arch the Corinthian columns of the Temple of Artemis and the oval colonnade.

The Perfect Experience of the Ancient Amman City
Experience the old downtown of Amman with me, I will share stories and details about the outstanding places we are going to.
Here is the plan for the perfect! Morning in Amman:
- Pick you up from your hotel in Amman.
- Traditional Jordanian Breakfast.
- Explore the Roman Theater.
- Visit the Roman Nymphaeum of Amman.
- Walk to the Grand Husseini Mosque.
- Explore Al Balad (Downtown) roads and shops.
- Drive to the Amman Citadel to explore it.
- Drop you off at your hotel in Amman.
Entrance Fees to some of the places will apply, Jordan Pass will cover all if you have it.
Aprende a cocinar los platos jordanos de mi familia
You will learn how to cook comfort Jordanian dishes from my Grandma’s recipes but with an international modern twist that is very easy to duplicate back home. Examples are (Jordanian Bedouin Sajieh with Pesto or Freekeh risotto).
Itinerary: The experience will last for 3 hours per the following:
1) Guest welcome (Jordanian style), with Arabic coffee and dates, while talking about the Jordanian culture and providing tips about Amman city and Jordan
2) Each guest up to six will be assigned her / his tools and have a hands-on cooking lesson.
3) We will cook then eat a Jordanian tray that includes three starters,main dish and dessert
4) Vegan and vegetarian dishes are available and can be customized per request.
5) Soft drinks are provided; guests are free to bring their favorite beverages.
The cooking lesson will take place in my recently renovated kitchen especially customized to host the cooking experience, I will also explain /talk and provide samples of my grandma’s secret spice recipe, a spice mix that is flavor base for most Jordanian dishes and provide a unique flavor that is not easy to replicate.

Mansaf, una delicia beduina
If you visit Jordan then you probably encountered Mansaf (a Bedouin traditional dish), as it is "one of the best dishes that anyone could have" according to most Jordanians. We will first prepare the ingredients and then start cooking together. We will then eat it the authentic way; using our hands (or not..), as this is how most Jordanian families eat Mansaf. Of course there are many rules for eating Mansaf which will be explained.
Other things to note
The cooking process will take about 2-3 hours. And it's known that Mansaf can be heavy after having it, so be prepared to be sleepy afterwards :-P
