La Casa de Alice en el centro histórico

Wir ( mein Sohn und ich) haben uns für 4 Tage bei Alice einquartiert und hatten ein separates Zimmer mit Doppelbett, Tisch , Stuhl und Schrank. Alice hat uns vor der Haustür abgeholt und in einen Wohnblock in der Nähe mitgenommen, wo sie selber wohnt. Das Bad und die Küche waren für alle Gäste, wir haben diese während unseres Aufenthaltes jedoch kaum kennengelernt, da wir auswärts gegessen haben. Wir konnten zu Fuß das Kolossen erreichen, es sind ca 2 km. Auch zur Station Termini sind es ca 2 km. In der Umgebung gibt es gute Speise und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Den letzen Stern könnte Alice mit ein bisschen mehr Sauberkeit erhalten, vielleicht sind wir deutsche einfach zu pingelig ;-). Fazit: billiger kommt man kaum eine gute Unterkunft in Rom.

Alice is sweet, the place was clean and comfortable and we felt very relaxed there. The kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to cook. Breakfast was self - serve. Alice's directions to the B&B were very good and we had no trouble finding the apartment. The neighborhood is very nice and easily accessible by foot or Metro for sightseeing, Termini Station and restaurants. There are no Grocery stores in the immediate area, if you wanted supplies. Traffic on the street in front of the apartment is fairly busy and somewhat noisy into the night, especially on weekends. We really enjoyed our stay with Alice and would recommend this B&B as an excellent value!

My mom and I stayed at Alice's house and we liked her house. The house is cute, clean and close to the metro. The kitchen was available to use and the only slight downfall is having to share a bathroom with another guest but we would stay there again if we make it make to Rome. Alice is very nice and if we weren't out exploring all day it would've been nice to get to know her. A thing we had to learn about Italy is they don't use elevators in buildings too much so be prepared to climb 3 flights of stairs (which wasn't as bad as the 5 flights of stairs at a place we stayed at in Florence). The restaurant next to Alice's house (restaurante Santa Croce?) is really good.

For the price is it a nice stay. Cleaned, cute and old style for young people perfect. In a good area and nice bars around with all less tourists and the metro is near. All in all a good trip for a few days. Alice is a friendly person and always reachable on handy, if you have questions. We wish Alice very best. Thank you. Carolin & Julia

Alice's house is an easy commute from Termini, a short walk from the metro and a very short walk from a bus that drops you off next to the colosseum. The kitchen is the only common area in the space, with a round table a small couch. It was a comfortable space to rest during our 2 day visit in Rome. Alice made sure we were taken care of, but was not particularly social; we met another guest in the hallway briefly. Due to the location and size of the apartment, this may not be the greatest place to stay if you're traveling alone and don't prefer solitude. Fine for friends or couples looking to save some cash and have basic needs met.

El apartamento está algo más lejos de la estación de Termini de lo previsto (algo más de 5 minutos), pero es acogedor y cómodo.

Our stay at Alice's was AMAZING. She was very nice, accommodating and her place was very clean and comfortable. She offered breakfast and snacks every day. She was even kind enough to show us around. I highly reccomend staying there. Her place is in a great location close to the train and easily navigated. We didnt speak much Italien and she spoke very good English. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. ;).

We found Alice's House to be a safe and well-located place to stay.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Alice's House. Our family of four stayed here in April 2012 and we were VERY disappointed. Alice was not there. Someone let us in, but then left us to fend for ourselves. This is not a bed and breakfast. There's no breakfast. There's not even food to cook with: no bread, not even coffee, only a small amount of spoiled milk and some eggs we were afraid to eat since the milk was rotten. There was a tin asking for money for using the kitchen, though. The worst part was that we could not even take showers because there was no hot water. A leaky showerhead dribbled ice cold water. We had a full day of travel ahead of us, as we were heading back to the States that day, and we all felt dirty and uncomfortable all day and night. Not being able to shower is really inexcusable. This room cost us $150. I've never felt more ripped off before. The pictures are nothing like the room we were given. The window in our bedroom was broken, with a big hole in the glass, so we were cold all night. We could go on, but suffice it to say that we were deceived. We stayed in some very nice bed and breakfasts and apartments in Italy, but this certainly was not one of them.

The apartment is located in a quiet and very pretty. Alice was not during my stay in Rome and had problems with hot water. We could not take a shower and we were two days without a shower. Photos are not exact

Alice's flat was a nice escape to beautiful and chaotic Rome. The rooms are cozy and the sheets and bed are soft. The entire flat including the bathroom is clean, with warm water available. The kitchen is also well equipped so one can cook and store food in the fridge. It is also close located in a peaceful neighborhood but it's still close to some of Rome's attractions. Staying here felt like being home.

if you like an energetic holiday this is the place for you, take plenty of money.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and Alice's apartment certainly played a part in that. The room was as depicted in the photo and we were welcomed with water and fresh strawberries. Breakfast was available to us each morning of our stay and included mini toasts with jam, fruit, cereal and coffee. We didn't get to know Alice very much as we were out discovering Rome during most of time there, or catching up on some much needed rest in our room, but our exchanges were always pleasant and easy to understand. We felt comfortable going and coming as we pleased and would enthusiastically recommend Alice's apartment to anyone.

Alice is a very nice host and the apartment where we stayed is quite close to the Colosseum which allowed us to visit in the evening and in the morning! Hakim (sp?) was very helpful as well when we arrived and he gave us good recommendation on where to eat and hang out. Only suggestion is to fix the lock in the room and the toilet flush can be improved as it takes a while to refill. Thanks!

Our stay was disastrous. The room was nothing like advertised. The window had been smashed a few weeks earlier and was only repaired with paper and tape so traffic noise came in easily. The sheets had not been washed and the shower was either all hot water or completely cold and we couldn't get it to stay at a bearable temperature. The cupboards in our room were also filled with clothes and boxes. There was a box in the kitchen asking for money for breakfast despite the place calling itself a 'bed and breakfast' . Even then, i couldnt find a kettle anywhere to make a cup of tea.When we called on our first night to complain they were unable to provide us with clean sheets but did give us a full refund for our stay in cash promptly and we moved the next day. Alice was out of town at the time and was apologetic but it did not make up for the inconvenience it caused us having only 2 nights total in Rome.

We had a good stay at Alice's place. My husband and I stayed in Rome 2 nights after our Mediterranean cruise. The room was big, clean and has a great big window that opens up overlooking the streets of Rome. The bed was comfortable and apartment was very quiet. We actually had it to ourselves the second night. Overall, it was a good place to stay for the price. Free wifi was nice too. There were some minor things that need improvement in my opinion. We arrived around 12:45 PM (we could check in anytime after noon). When we arrived Alice was not there (we actually never met her - out of town at other B&B I guess) her friend greeted us which he was very nice and helpful - we were just expecting Alice because she never gave us a heads up that she was going to be gone that weekend. Also, our room & the apartment was not ready when we arrived- the previous renters were still in the room, trash not taken out in kitchen, dirty dishes in kitchen sink etc. So, we put our bags in the other room and went out for a while and when we returned that night the room was ready & very comfortable. I know in other reviews people talk about a homemade breakfast etc. In our experience there were breakfast items around in kitchen but nothing like what we thought. Old coffee cake and rotten fruit. It wasn't a big deal because we just ate on the run since we had so much to see in Rome. The bathroom was good. No hot water for shower or hand soap or hand towels. Overall, I would recommend this room at the B&B for a great spot to just sleep after a long day of sight seeing. The apartment is about 3 blocks from Metro and in a safe & quiet neighborhood. The room is beautiful and very comfortable.

Alice's house was great location was perfect very central with a subway station 3 minutes away. The room itself was basic could do with a revamp and we had a shared bathroom. It was clean which is all you want when traveling on a budget. Alice's friend was there for a hour or so each day and was really helpful and gave us suggestions on our time in Rome.

Everything was quite nice! Alice is a great host. She met us in the evening much later when we should have come so thanks her for the understanding The room was big and we had everything we needed. The area was also nice and we had easy access to the metro station and sights.

Alice is a wonderful girl! I lived in her apartment for a few months in 2009, when I was an exchange student at a University in Rome. I had an amazing time! She is always helpful and trully Italian -- always smiling and talking with her hands, she cooks very well and is always fun! The house is quite confortable and is in a great location, you can walk to many different parts of Rome. You won't regret to chose her place.

Rome experience is priceless...and if you visit the città eterna with Alice you'll feel like in a dream... The house is very cozy and clean...that's simply COOL!!!! ;)

Alice is one of the warmest and most generous people I have ever met; she has a rare and special enthusiasm for life and people that is wonderful to be around. I randomly stayed at her place in Rome this past summer and within 7 days I practically treated her as part of my family. She is great fun and has a tremendous sense of humor. She is super tight with her friends and family, is a responsible person, and knows how to live and love better than most. They dont make them like her anymore! Truly a one of a kind person.

Alice is fantastic, helpful and friendly. The place is great and close to everything. I love it and i recommend it to everyone.
